How Have I Made An Impact
My parents have always been supportive in every step of my life and helped me in achieving my ambitions. During the final year of my college, I decided that I would like to work in big financial or IT firms and earn the big bucks. I focused on getting a campus placement. I got an internship at BlackRock and converted my internship into a full-time job offer. At this point of my life, where I have just started my professional life, I realized that just getting a well-paying job with handsome pay package is not enough, personal satisfaction and job profile are important too. I just couldn't see myself coding for a living anymore. So, I decide to pursue management and write CAT. Now, I thought other students are cracking CAT and getting into the B-schools of their dreams by studying while doing their jobs as well. I also tried the same by studying just one-two hours daily before going to the office for the last 2-3 months before CAT exam. I got a percentile well below 85. This was the biggest setback which I faced. The only challenge I have faced is to step up after a failure. Motivating myself for my next attempt, was the biggest challenge of my life as far as my career was concerned. However, with strict dedication and motivation, I was able to clear it in the next attempt and secured admission in one of the best B-schools of India, MDI Gurgaon. My CAT Preparation was the time which was the hardest but the most enriching journey to date.
