It would be a big lie if any Indian says they have not used any Aditya Birla Group product in their life, till now. ABG's products are spread across so many sectors that one is bound to cross ways with an ABG product.
I was always a fan of departmental stores like D-mart and Big Bazaar when I was a kid as the experience was nothing short of being a candy store. My sister and I could easily pick out our favorite biscuits, chips, juices and chocolates within a matter of few minutes. Of course, there were a lot of kirana shops around our house however they did not have the convenience of the departmental store. However, things changed in 2008, when More was launched right next to our building. We did not have to travel distances to be in a one stop convenience story. It was just a matter of 10 steps. Now as an MBA student when I look back and reflect upon at More being opened in our area, it was a great move to make a departmental store more accessible and available. Which is why I consider Aditya Birla Group to be big in my life. In a way I always associate it to be a premium conglomerate with all of it’s brands connecting with masses as well as classes. More was just me accepting the Aditya Birla Group in my life, however being a frequent shopper at Allen Solly I can easily say I have embraced it completely.
Lastly, I admire Mr. K.M Birla for his composure at work, losing your temper only thrice in a span of 20 years is something I would never we able to live up to. However, looking up to, learning and competing with the best is something I relish in my life and continue to do so in every sphere. I had anger issues but took inspiration from many great people including Mr. Birla and in turn overcame anger issues.
