For me, Aditya Birla Group stands for nothing less than its logo. It is truly the sun of my life. Just like the Earth is constantly exposed to the Sun, I too, am in constant exposure to the plethora of brands and products from Aditya Birla. My typical day beings in search of “Sunrise”, my favorite Van Hausen athleisure. Donning them, doing cardio exercises, i feel synchronized with the world, up and running. Always late back to my hostel room, the run to classes is always a rush hour. In the haste, trousers from Peter England have always been my support. Comfortable, Dependable and Elegant. The shirts from Allen Solly/Peter England add the perfect colors to my presentations and compliment me well. Most of my lunch hours are spend daydreaming of my lunchbox at school. Cooked by goodness of home with its warmth preserved by Freshwrapp. That’s too much nostalgia to resist calling back home. It’s time to callup my loved ones, What an Idea sirji! The evening is then spent alongside friends in casuals often bought from pantaloons. As the sun sets and the city lights turn on, they also bring with them a realization of electricity. Yeah, I am an Electrical Engineer. Wandering in the city, chilling with the friends, I often notice those complicated and congested distribution networks of wires in Delhi. Surely can’t apply Kirchoff’s Voltage Law. But hats-off to those Insulators that perform under pressure, which come from India’s leading HV porcelain manufacturer - Aditya Birla Insulators. Back at hostel, laying on my bed, I am always in awe of the humongous facades that cover the skyline. Possibly built out of trust, reliability and UltraTech.
The most significant challenge that I have faced so far in life was when I had to leave my first job inside twenty-three days of joining. Due to certain circumstances, my family and I were unanimous over me taking-up a job rather than me getting into a b-school, my actual preference at that time. Thereafter in my third year, I got placed in a public sector mining company. This company offered the highest pay to students of my specialization alongside other perks that come with a job in PSU. Everything seemed lucrative except one-the place of posting. I have any reservations with that because I had lived in a similar place in my formative years. I assumed that similar local facilities would be available as had been the case earlier. But my assumption was wrong, and the place of posting did not have adequate facilities. I had to leave the company, rather I was called back home by my family due to the health related issues that I had developed. I left my job and felt as if I slipped on the very first step of my professional life. This mere thought affected my self-confidence. I regained my confidence by convincing myself that I won’t let this incident become the central point of my life. Moreover, I raised myself to new levels of motivation and patience to work even harder and fight for what I feel, I deserve. This incident also taught me, not to take decisions based on blind assumptions. It has taught me that one must have courage to accept mistakes, solve them and bounce back as better version of oneself.
