Aditya Birla Group, now a Fortune 500 company operating in thirty-five countries with more than one lakh employees from forty-two nationalities, has not only spread its branches into every sector but also exhibited capabilities of producing profits from scratch in every field.
Every time I walk into a Pantaloons showroom, a diverse and elite collection of clothes awaits getting into my hands, be it a traditional attire, western wear or a formal office outfit. This multi brand fashion retail store owned by Aditya Birla Group is indeed an illustration of its very own tagline ‘Taking India to the world’ cause of the variety it displays worldwide.
Aditya Birla Group’s telecom industry, Idea cellular, has also been true to its words of ‘an idea can change your life’ and has undeniably shaped my life ever since I owned my first mobile gadget. The advertisements of the network which promoted fitness through its ‘walk when you talk’ campaign and power of knowledge through the ‘education for all’ served as learning lessons in my life.
The role of Aditya Birla Group doesn’t end with connectivity and styling it renders me with but it has also extended its influence with the UltraTech cement for my place of residence and the roads which take me there in the cars equipped with Carbon Black tyres.
In spite of being third largest private section in India, Aditya Birla Group remembers its roots and thereby continues to mould millions of lives every minute in numerous ways, including mine.
How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far?
“Challenges make you discover things about yourself that you never really knew.”-- Cicely Tyson
Achieving goals without any hurdle would just be activities like watching television or picking up your dry-cleaning. In spite of hindrances being discouraging and demotivating, attainment of any ambition without them would never yield the satisfaction or happiness which hard work does.
The first job interview for any individual is very crucial and so was mine. The adrenaline rush through my blood had started displaying its effects on my skin but I pulled it off somehow.
On the D-day, the results arrived as a setback. I was disappointed and angry at the same time because all the sleepless nights, the never ending brainstorming and every bit of my effort had gone into vain shattering my confidence like glass pieces. The last thing I could afford at that point of time was a failure holding me back and fortunately for me, I had a series of interviews awaiting on my calendar.
It took me a while to realise my what might have gone south on the previous occasion. Taking one step at a time, concentrating on every minute detail of improvement, leveraging my strengths and working on my weaknesses I groomed myself daily to a considerable extent, where I had completely control of my emotions and actions and was prepared to face all possible situations that came along the way and the results of the following interview did prove it. It was not a cake walk but the it got the best out of me and I rediscovered myself.
