How I define success
I am a sports enthusiast, volleyball is my favourite sport. During my first year of B.tech in IIT Hyderabad. I was selected in to the main team for Inter IIT sports meet which was hosted by IIT Bombay. In the squad of 12 players I was one among the playing 6, other 5 main players were 4thyear, M.tech and PhD students. I had a fear of underperformance and high pressure situation. It was our first match with IIT Kanpur, which is an old IIT and they were the champions.
We decided to give a tough fight against the odds. With full effort and spirit, we made few strategic decisions in our positioning and we succeeded to build confidence and coordination among the team. It was a very close match but we lost against them.
With consistent performance and perseverance we kept training ourselves and giving tough fight every year. I was the captain of Inter IIT volleyball team during my 3rdyear of B.tech. I being the fearful player in the team evolved as a captain leading my team in the Inter IIT sports meet.
