Why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life
Aditya Birla Group is one of the best business conglomerates of India and is involved in one or another aspect of each Indian, including me as well. Starting from my school days till my last working day, my lunch was wrapped in Hindalco aluminum foils to keep it warm and fresh. It is an integral part of most of the Indian house kitchens. Idea cellular network was preferred choice of sim card when I bought my first phone and it has helped me to remain connected with my friends and family every minute of the time. Idea gave best of the 2G and 3G connection speed and during my engineering program it has saved countless project submission deadlines when broadband was notworking. When I was working in Hyderabad, “More” was my preferred retail store to get groceries and vegetables for daily use. It provided range of brands in a single product category and prices were competitive to its competitor like “Ratnadeep” etc. The product quality was remarkable and in store discounts helped in saving 100s of rupees. Also, one can not forget to mention “Peter England Fashion and Retail Store” when Aditya Birla Group is mentioned. It is a must visit fashion retail store which provides range of products like shorts, trousers, tie, polo t shorts etc. The quality of fabric and designs are impeccable, and it is a one stop store where I can get all my clothes whether it is formal or informal. At last, I can say that Aditya Birla Group has been a part of my life since childhood and will remain in future years as well.
How I overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far
The biggest challenge I faced in my life was getting an admission into an IIM. After completing my graduation in engineering, I decided to go for MBA to jump start my career. I had made my mind in getting into IIMs and a few other top B-schools only. I gave my first attempt in the last year of graduation and I scored moderately good in CAT without much preparation. After completing engineering, I joined an IT MNC in the month of August and couldn’t able to fill the CAT form due to relocation and demanding training programs of the company. In that year, my friend cracked the CAT and got into one of the top IIM. This moment was defining for me as his success in CAT gave me an inspiration to bell the CAT. I was working as an independent team member in the project which had put extra demands and commitments on me. I used to study for CAT during my breakfast, lunch and tea break and after coming to my apartment. I also joined test series of a coaching institute as regular coaching classes were not possible because I had to work during the weekends as well. In year 2016, I again appeared for CAT but couldn’t make into cutoff of new IIMs just by 0.4 percentile. I got disheartened but I was not in a mood to leave my dream of getting into an IIM. So again, I started my preparation for the exam. Continuous hard work and effective time management helped me in getting into IIM in 2018. It was a dream come true moment for me and after completing one year of MBA, I can say that it was worth the wait and effort.
