I had got calls from premiere B-schools after clearing CAT & I wanted to leave no stone unturned for the personal interviews. Also, I was able convert most of my calls successfully. Can you guess what made the difference? The first business suit & formal clothing, which I bought from PETER ENGLAND at very reasonable cost and wore during the interview process, made me look good & gave me a lot more confidence. Be it ethnic dressing during festivals  or wearing regular jeans , Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail provides me with numerous options to choose from. Such is the aura of brands owned by Aditya Birla Group, which helps in transforming millions of lives across the globe.

Not only branded apparels, ABG has its interests in viscose staple fibre, metals, viscose filament yarn, carbon black, chemicals, fertilizers, insulators, financial services, telecommunications, BPO and IT services & cement, which is largest in India. During the construction of my father’s new house, Ultratech Cement was used which has huge goodwill in the construction industry. It has been connecting towns & people of rural areas to major cities & providing them with proper & safe houses to live in since 1983.  ABG has given us options to secure our families against personal accidents & critical illness which can drain one financially. Critical Health Insurance policy is a good way to be prepared for critical illness in the future. It has tie up with more than 5000 hospitals , provides opinions from panel of medical practitioners for illness  & a hassle free process of claim settlement Be it any corner of the country, Vodafone – Idea network helps me to keep in touch with my family & friends back home. These are the contributions of Aditya Birla Group  which leave a deep impact on my life.

How do I overcome challenges to achieve my ambitions in life ?

It was my first job in a captive power plant in a colliery mine. The culture there was very different which I had never experienced before. I was assigned Safety Improvement project for the power plant which would involve all employees right from people in the shop-floor to the higher management. During the brainstorming sessions for the project, I found some employees were not so motivated and many couldn't express their viewpoint clearly. Others, who seemed knowledgeable, demanded for the rewards which they had not received for the ideas they had generated for previous projects and hence refused to get involved. I assured them that they would get rewarded if they implement their idea successfully. I myself implemented 2 -3 Kaizens related to the project which set an example before them & slowly it motivated them to participate in the process. To ensure full transparency, I logged the project online and gave each & every employee’s name against his improvement ideas. I gave them more responsibility to make them feel more valued and gave them resources & full freedom to implement their own ideas so that they are satisfied with their implementation. I facilitated them & helped them whenever they were not able to proceed. After audit of the implemented tasks was done, they were rewarded with gift coupons by the Improvement department. Finally I was able to instil  faith in my employees .
