Aditya Birla Group - A Global Conglomerate
In today’s time, it’s difficult to go about your daily life without getting in contact with the Aditya Birla Group even if you recognize it or not. A massive number of commodities present in the world have been contributed to by the Aditya Birla Group, from being the world’s largest manufacturer of carbon black which is used in the production of automobile tires to owning the world’s largest textile mill in the Philippines. Aditya Birla Group, a company with its presence all over the world effecting the lives of millions, began in the 1860s as a part of the Indian cotton industry and this fact is what makes ABG so big in my life. Being a corporation that has withstood the test of time that the massive socio-political changes and technological advances cause, teaching me the importance of being adaptive, ever evolving, future ready and one step ahead of the competition. Their values of integrity, commitment, passion, seamlessness and speed and their dedication to upholding these values with their mission and vision in mind is something I believe every individual should aspire towards. Aditya Birla Group has not just grown itself over the last century, it has taken India along for the ride and brought prosperity to it by creating industries within the country and giving back to the community by engaging in numerous corporate social responsibility activities. I believe more than the physical commodities they provide their ideological values are the reason behind Aditya Birla being Big in my life.
Challenges are part of every individual’s life and how people overcome an event is what makes a person who they are. Since childhood Karate has been a major focus in my life. I dedicated a lot of time and effort into Karate while also ensuring I kept my focus on education at the same time. One of the biggest challenges I faced was when I had a national level competition for Karate coming up just before my 10th board exams. It was difficult to manage both the major aspects of my life during this period due to the amount of time and the physical toll it took to practice Karate. I had to ensure I was studying as well as practicing Karate on a daily basis and keeping up with the classes and regular submissions as well. This experience is the reason I have learnt to manage my time and energy optimally to ensure I always maintain a balanced lifestyle and also taught me to always give it my all at whatever I do. My parents have always instilled in me the need to be an independent woman and their support and motivation is the reason I managed to win a Silver medal at the national level in Karate and also do well in my examinations. I believe overcoming challenges and achieving your goals bring a lot of learning to your life and you value the experience more than a life with no challenges. So my mantra ever since has been to always seek new challenges to learn from and do my best to overcome.
