ABGL empowered my mother and by doing that it improved the life of four people i.e my family. I have always felt proud of my mother because she has always done what is best for everyone selflessly. And guess what? She is always proud of her job as a teacher in a small township set up by ABGL near their Khor cement plant, Nayagaon Madhya Pradesh. Whenever she speaks about her achievements,w her job at ABGL is the first thing, she cites and that brings a shine in her eyes. For that movement her all sacrifices takes a back seat and her self-esteem shines bright. What does that sight do to a 7-year-old, it gives him hope that my mother is best in the world and I am going to be just like her.
I have also faced many challenges in life, some I have overcome and some made me stumble. But during all these events my mother stayed with me and somehow her life experiences helped her to help me. Today When I am typing this article with tears in my eyes. Imagining my mom’s proudest moments of being a teacher in ABGL township made me realise that what ABGL do is not just touch your life with products such as construction materials, clothing, insurance etc. but what they actually do is bringing out the best in people. Thank you ABGL for improving the life of my family by enabling its heart, my mother which further gave hope to me. Because of that hope I am a proud son and responsible citizen of India. Thanks a ton!!!

How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far.
One of the biggest challenges in my life was to clear IIT JEE. Having failed in my 1st attempt by 3 marks to make it to the most prestigious institutes in India in 2010. I was devastated. But I was confident that I can make it next attempt. I requested my parents to give me another chance. They gave me my chance. I started my preparation again with full enthusiasm and worked hard till the end with concentration. The result was I made it to IIT Roorkee. Fulfilling my parent’s and my dream. During those three years, I learnt never to give up on your dreams and to always follow a disciplined & focussed approach to achieve them.
Another example of achieving my ambition is when I joined IIT Roorkee. I had zero exposure to the outside world but I was keenly interested in adventure sports. So when I was introduced to Himalayan Explorers’ Club, I was very excited but due to no prior exposure, I was scared too.
I knew to get into the club I need to compete with people from cities who were much more exposed to the outside world. But due to my interest and consistent efforts like taking part in trekking expeditions, Designing magazine & T-shirt of the club, helping in organizing events of the club, I developed my soft skills and technical skills within no time and due to my contribution to the club I was made secretary of the club in 2014. This experience taught me that follow your dream and work will become fun and you will learn while working. All these things will take you to achieve your dream.
