It was the year 2014, I was participating in the Pole Malkhamb event for Sri Sathya Sai University’s annual sports and cultural meet. Me and amy team had been preparing for months to put up a good show. One of the highlight stunts required me to do s somersault from a 12 feet high wooden pole. It required lots of practice and precision. We had our event on the 11th of January, 2014. We were having our last practise session on 10th January night and I lost my balance and tore my ankle ligament while doing the stunt. It was extremely painful physically but what was more painful that mine and my team’s hard work had come to vain as I would not be able to perform the next day. I was totally broken. The next day I suddenly got burst of inspiration and with god’s name I decided to put on an ankle support and perform. I was advised against it but I was adamant. The performance went amazing and I was happy that I did not let my team down. The next day I went to the doctor who immediately plastered my leg and I was advised wheelchair for the next two months. The doctor said this might not heal totally and I won’t be able to play sports for a few years. Sports was my passion I was absolutely distort. But by the end of two month I was completely healed and participated in the school athletic events and even won a gold medal there. This was only because of my faith and honesty towards what I believed in. Yes it was a miracle in my life. It taught me to get up and get going and things will automatically fall in place.
