How my life was changed by ABG? – IIM Rohtak
I first learned about Aditya Birla group via movies wherein I heard the famous dialogue “Apan koi Birla, Ambani, Tata ke bacche nahi hai.” This made me think why people say so. As I grew up, I started to realize the impact the Aditya Birla group has on my life. My family & I live in a house which is built using Ultratech cement, being in an earthquake-prone zone, we entrust our life to the deep & innovative research through which Ultratech cement is made. Majority of my formal and casual wear belongs to ABG brands like Peter England, Van Heusen, Allen Solly. Balancing between cost & looks, it helps me make sure that I have the right kind of clothes for all events.
How Have You Made An Impact
Born in business family, business and money fascinated me from the day, and I started to understand the world & how it functioned. This lead me into engineering after my 12th. But due to family reasons I could not complete my engineering and I had to drop after 3rd year. I started to run family business. But circumstances worsen and I had to close down business and again started pursuing my education and job. After completing my B.Com from distance learning I wrote CAT 2017. My passion to achieve something lead me to IIM Rohtak.
After 8 years I was again in college. It was totally different from engineering college and studying with classmates 8-9 years younger than was making me awkward. I started to learn how MBA students work, think. Cases, presentations and project were part of daily college routine. I planned to give CFA level-1. Along with all this I wanted to get a decent summer internship. I got summer internship in November,2018 and cleared my CFA level-1 exam in January,2019.
I became a proud member of STORE, a business enterprise started by senior students within IIM Rohtak campus, to cater to the daily demands of campus students living 15 Kms from city limits. I spearheaded the business development department & successfully brought various fast food chain retailers to serve students on a fortnight basis while also managing to remain among the top 2 students based on academics. Upon becoming the senior member, I have proudly managed to expand the product portfolio & developing metrics to drive footfall at STORE. Now I look forward to final placement and a good career.
