Life is always full of ups and down just like the lifeline of a person in the heart monitor. I have faced a lot of challenges since an early age. But with the support of family and a little confidence in my abilities I was able to overcome all. One of the recent challenges I faced was when I resigned my job to pursue my dream of securing an MBA degree from FMS, Delhi. I was happy in my job, but somewhere something didn’t fit. After, leaving my job I had the golden opportunity to explore different area of MBA and make an informed decision about where to lead my career to. I started doing courses from coursera and edx in different fields of management to get an idea as what to expect from different fields. Occasionally, I used to read as how one cannot get admission in a top B school with a drop year. The concept of drop year is seen in a negative way among Indian population, in other countries it is perfectly alright to take some time out of your busy life to focus on yourself, to properly know what you want to do for the rest of your life, and it is perfectly okay to take a time out from the work life, as we will continue working for next 40 years, so pausing and formulating the next 40 year plan is perfectly normal. But there was the challenge of convincing all my interviewers about my passion and conviction. But with hard work and proper guidance I overcome all the obstacles between me and my dream to secure a place among the hundred lucky ones in FMS.
