Part A

A story of construction Pakka Government School.

I come from a very small village named Gharora in Faridabad district in Haryana, situated at the bank of Yamuna River which also serves as the state border between Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Far from the hustle-bustle of city life, lush green scenery and fresh air of village life give you immense peace and happiness. You can always see children running and playing in the streets and the best time to visit in our village is the rainy season when every field seems to be a green carpet of rice paddy and Yamuna running at its full flow. You can witness people gathering over tea and gigging and enjoying the weather. But brim side of the story is a small government school constructed 20 years ago, which was in a very deteriorated state. In rainy season water used to drip from celling and you could see small utensils placed for collecting water in the classroom. So, usually due to lack of proper infrastructure, the school remained closed for entire monsoon, which impacted studies of the children.

Then village Sarpanch, all the members, and landlords were called for a Panchayat and it was decided that fund would be raised for the construction of the school. Everyone decided to use UltraTech Cement, which in its advertisement used to say "Banega India." Our Sarpanch shouted, "Banega Pakka Vidhyalya," and everyone repeated. From the next week construction started and thanks to Aditya Birla Group now we have a "Pakka Government School" and "Pakka Panchayat House". Today you can see children not just playing and running in streets but with an umbrella in their hand, well-dressed going to school.

Part B

A story of A Timid Schoolboy.

As a child, I was always timid and was forced by my teachers to participate in extra-curricular activities. Initially, I struggled a lot, the first time I went on the stage I could not even stand properly started shivering, hundreds of eyes staring me and I ran away from the stage without even introducing my topic. My teachers motivated me and helped me overcome my fear of stage.

Next time I was at least able to introduce my topic. Once I realised that taking part in such activities was only helping me groom and boosted my confidence level.

So, I took it as a challenge and started actively participating in all the activities be it art and craft, News Reading, Hindi or English debate and speech competitions; I went to the lengths of even participating in dance competition though I always knew all I could do was a wedding dance. Finally, I figured I had an inclination towards public speaking and represented my school at various speech and debate competitions.

I joined official Literary society in college in the very 1st year and participated in various literary events in the cultural and technical fest. Finally, I became Core member of the same society in the final year, led the team of 40 members and conducted numerous Literary events in University.

This fight of a timid schoolboy to fight his stage fear helped me clear Group Discussion and Personal Interview Round of various B-school and hence helped me achieve my ambition to be in a top B-School of the nation.
