Same feelings I had just some time back when I was in my final year of graduation and I could not clear MBA exams, I had to drop a year. But that one year taught me so much. It taught me that I am stronger as a person than I thought myself to be. I can take on challenges and fulfil them too.
Reality hit and the feeling of dropping a year settled in, I started working much harder for the entrance exams which I had to face in the coming year. I made a time table and studied accordingly. I took a lot of tests so that I am able to identify my weak and strong areas. On outcome of the results, I prepared myself consequently.
As the final exam came closer, I started giving more mock tests, from there I got a hold on the problems I was facing. Time was one of the most important factors. I started timing myself and reading one chapter from any book, this not only helped me to finish my exam in adequate time but also helped me increase my efficiency.
Such planning and reading habits helped me to crack NMAT and make my way to Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Bangalore.
The drop year has taught me a lot. You should always believe in yourself and never get depressed or demotivated if you could not clear one thing because definitely a much better thing is waiting for you.
