We all know about ABGL but do we really know the group, what impact it has in our lives, do we know its products, its companies and its presence in our daily lives. They are a 162-year-old company, headquartered in Worli, Mumbai, India. It operates in 35 countries with more than 120,000 employees worldwide the group was founded by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla in 1857. The group has interests in viscose staple fiber, metals, cement (largest in India), viscose filament yarn, branded apparel, carbon black, chemicals, fertilizers, insulators, financial services, telecom, BPO and IT services. They are in every business from clothing to carbon to cement to financial services. ABGL has touched the lives of each and every one of us in some way or the other, big or small. ABGL has been a part of my life since my teen years because of the presence of their clothing outlet Pantaloons in every mall across the cities.
Pantaloons is a clothing retails outlet of the Aditya Birla Group and has been in the market for years now. I have created countless Sunday shopping memories at Pantaloons with family or friends. The brand has always been there in our minds, the green board with white text always has left a mark on your mind and memory. And now while I am doing my MBA, I see the ads for Aditya Birla Financial Services on TV and wish to work with the reputed brand someday, read up on them, what all they do.
