Part - A) Aditya Birla Group products are prevalent in various sectors ranging from apparels,wealth management, insurance ,financing and advising.These products play a major role and contribute in our lives in various ways. It touches millions of lives and is quite unlikely that one hasnt used any of its products. Adity Birla Group brands range from Forever 21, Birla Carbon, Pantaloons,Gust, Eternia, Conductex.I am a huge fan of apparels and thus Aditya Birla brand s play an important role in shaping my customer behaviour and perspective. The roots of Aditya bIrla Group can be traced back to 1857 wherein it was majorly concerned with cotton trading in the state of Rajasthan. Gradually, during the era of independence, the company expanded its operations and developed its venture by getting into rayon weaving. This is how the foundation was started for clothing and apparel. Since independence, the company has been contributing into our lives significantly. The Group's committment to quality,efforts to achieve maximum customer satisfaction enabled it to become a conglomerate where it stands today .1965 was a landmark year, wherein the company started venturing into spinning mills and industries and acquired Indian Rayon Company Limited. Later in 1965, they entered overseas markets with their premium products. In 2000 Indian Rayon acquires Madura Garments and selected overseas brand rights, taking the Aditya Birla Group to the top of the league in the branded apparels sector.From the above scenario, it is eident that the Group has contributed so much towards customers both in India and the overseas markets.
Part B)From the very beginning , I have been a person who loves challenges and I strongly believe that challenges should be looked upon as opportunities which bring me one step closer to success. The first challenge that I faced was that being in a joint family in Delhi, I decided to do my graduation from Mumbai This was a heartbreaking situation for me , since I had always been very close to my family since my childhood and the very thought of living away from them for three years left me shattered.I took it up as an opportunity to learn and grow and develop my personality. Gradually, in the advent of time I transformed into a matire girl who is able to handle adversities and emerge victorious.I took things in my stride , starting from living in hostel to not meeting my family for months together to the pressure of studies, placements.My ambition was to do graduation and then establish myself in my career by doing an MBA. However difficult it all sounded , I was headstrong that I will be able to transform myself from a naive girl to a independent girl. My family has been my pillar of strength throughout my life journey. Had they not been there, I would not have been able to be what I am currently.Currently,while doing MBA , I realised that for a fresher like me with no corporate experience, it is very important that I develop my skills and competencies to be at par with those who have workex.
