Part A: How Aditya Birla Group is big in your life?

Aditya Birla Group is one of the biggest Indian conglomerates in the world. It has created a place for itself not only in India but all across the world. Operating in 35 countries with more than 120,000 employees worldwide, it has become a household name.

Aditya Birla Group has touched my life on a day to day basis.

Being an MBA student, formals are a necessity. Brands like Van Heusen and Louis Phillipe which are some of the largest clothing brands in India are one of the first brands which come to my mind while purchasing.

Staying in another state where you are not familiar with the local dialect can be a major issue and can sometimes lead to loneliness. Vodafone mobile services are the best when it comes to telecom services and now with its merger with Idea, it has become the largest mobile service provider in India. It plays and important role in my life as it helps me to stay in contact with my family.

As I have been staying in Mumbai for the longest time, one of the many things that make me awestruck is Bandra-Worli sea link. Since Ultratech cement is also a part of ABG it strikes a very strong resonance that it has linked two parts of a city in a wonderful way.

Also once of the most important things is how ABG touches the lives of millions of people by its CSR activities. Different sectors like Healthcare, Education, Infrastructure are taken into consideration by them. Initiatives like providing cleft lip surgery, immunizing children against polio, installing reverse osmosis plants for providing drinking water to the villages are some of the many initiatives taken by the ABG group for welfare of the society. This only proves that Aditya Birla Group is not only thinking about the economic progress of the society but also about the social growth and progress of the society.

Part B: How I overcame challenges to achieve my ambition in life so far:

After doing my graduation, when I started working it was a completely new environment for me. It so happened that during my training period I was shifter to a few locations where it was a completely new territory for me. Initially I had problems while adjusting but then I adjusted to it very well. One of the main challenges which I faced was in my corporate stint. I was working under a senior of mine. After a brief stint he resigned and the project on which we both were working on came entirely onto my shoulders. The main challenge was that I was now directly responsible for the project and I had to interact with the top management directly as I was the only one handling the project. There were some initial hiccups and I faces some issues in the earlier stage. But then I learnt it, overcame those challenges and then handles the project very well. And then I was given other projects also to handle which I did it very well.

After working in the corporate sector I decided to resume my studies for higher education. Being in Bangalore which is not my hometown, in the initial phases it was difficult for me to cope up. But I had decided that I will face those challenges and move ahead in the right direction.

I am very confident that this new phase of my life will bring many more challenges and I will be able to face it and be successful in it.
