Part B

Challenges are a part and parcel of life. A life without challenges will be too boring. Challenges test your resilience towards difficult or unknown situations.  They make you wiser and improve your capabilities. The most important thing is to challenge yourself to greater heights. Each challenge that you set for yourself should help you become better. One challenge I recently faced was cracking the interviews to get selected in a good company for my summer internship.

Sometimes, I am unable to express my thoughts clearly, whether in a personal situation, or a professional. This drawback of mine really deterred me when I wanted to get selected in the first few companies that came to our campus for recruitment. After every rejection, I would get even more demoralized and even more tense in the next interview due to the fear of another failure. After about 10-11 failures, I had almost given up.

Another day, another company. I cracked the Group Discussion round with ease. But, again, faltered in the Personal Interview, to the point where I was sitting with my head down in front of the recruiter.

To my surprise, the recruiter blatantly tells me that they will not be selecting me and proceeds to give me advice on how to better groom myself for upcoming interviews and not lose hope. He gave me a list of do's and don'ts before an interview. Told me 3 books to read as soon as possible and told me the areas of marketing knowledge that I need to brush up.

This was my first interview where I left feeling confident. Not because I knew I aced it. But because I knew I’ll ace the next one. And I did. Keep giving up and not lose hope this thing I learn from my mistakes.
