Aditya Birla is one of the biggest conglomerates in India with its operations spread across the world in more than 35 countries. The product portfolio or rather the industry portfolio of the company ranges from telecommunication, fashion, cement, non-ferrous metals, textile, financial services etc. Within each industry, all the brands are very close to people’s hearts and among the first choices in every decision. I have been majorly associated with Aditya Birla in the fashion industry with brands namely, Pantaloons, Allen Solly, Van Heusen. I have been a regular buyer from Pantaloons since I can remember. It offers wide range of products for all occasions like party wear, ethnic, sleepwear, casual etc. and within different products, the variety of products is extensive. Also, the customer experience is great and almost similar across various outlets. Thus, uniformity is maintained in whichever Pantaloons outlet one steps in. Since, all the products are available under one roof, it has made shopping really convenient for me. Besides Pantaloons, I am a frequent buyer from Allen Solly and Van Heusen as well. Before beginning my MBA and even during the duration of my MBA, the most important thing is shopping for formal clothes, which was even required during my Summer Internship. The wide range of options provided by both these brands made shopping really convenient from me. I did not need to go to a third store as all my requirements were fulfilled in these two stores. The product quality, price range and customer experience are commendable across all the brands that Aditya Birla has to offer. Also, since it is an Indian brand, it has always been my first preference whenever I have to go out shopping with friends or family.

I was an academic topper throughout my school and college, which is a good thing until the pressure of expectations from friends and family starts boiling your head. Everyone expected me to give CAT and do an MBA in Finance from a top B-school. The first time I gave my CAT exam, I focused more on practicing questions across different subject rather than practicing mock tests. Due to this, towards the end I had little time to take the mock tests and whenever I did I failed to solve all the questions on time. I failed to realise that this would actually create a hinderance at the time of actually giving the test. I knew how to solve the questions but lacked time management to solve a complete paper. I also realised that I did not need to solve all the questions but actually to answer questions confidently in which I believed I could do it right. All these thoughts came after I gave my first attempt for CAT and could not make it to any B-school of my choice. Therefore, the next time I was preparing for CAT, I used to give regular mock tests which improved my technical skills as well as time management skills thus leading to better results. All the faults that I had realised after the first attempt, I worked on those to finally bag a seat in one of the top B-schools in India i.e. IMI. Thus, I realised that hard work and determination can help in winning all the challenges that come across in one’s life.
