Aditya Birla Group is one of the premier conglomerates of India and the world. This company has been playing a vital role in our lives, one way or the other. From the clothes we wear, the payments we make, the foil wrap we use to cover our food in, the homes we live in, the roads we travel on etc., the company has its presence everywhere and works to make our lives at ease. Remembering the school days, lunch time pops first in my mind. My mother never forgot to pack the food in aluminium foil, thereby making it an integral part of my life. For me the lunch packed in aluminium foil was more appetizing and fresh. Since then it is my habit to pack food in aluminium wrap.
Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited is India's first billion-dollar pure-play fashion powerhouse which appeals everyone and I am a fan myself. Be it Pantaloons, Liva, Forever 21or Allen Solly, I aspire to have all of them in my wardrobe and don’t want to miss out on the latest trends. If not for shopping, I go for window shopping as well just to look into the fresh arrivals every season.

“No Ullu Banaoing” was a very creative campaign by idea cellular which was probably the first time I got more alert, careful and informed about my surroundings. It made me a smart consumer and then I got my first internet connection. Thanks to Idea.
It is the simple things in life that we often forget to be grateful for but they matter the most. I am grateful to ABG for being a part of my life and shaping it. There are innumerable instances that I can write when it comes to ABG. It touches, affects and improves millions of lives around the globe, like it does mine.
Talking about the challenges, challenges are intrinsic in everyone’s lives. Life is all about the challenges we face and the perspective we have while experiencing those challenges. They shape us and make us a better person. At the end of the day, it is all about the learnings that we make out of it and how do we inculcate that in our lives. One of the biggest unforeseen challenge in my life happened in March 2018 when my father had to go through a heart operation. He did not have a past record of heart issues so it was something that we were not prepared for and it all happened very quickly. Being the elder sister, the huge responsibility came on my shoulders to keep everyone together in this tough phase where everyone was scared including me. At that time, I used to work at Indus Valley Partners, Noida. I had joined the workplace recently. Hence, I went for halfday leaves. I and my brother used to manage our timings and visited the hospital in shifts, e.g. I used to go in the morning and he went in the evening. When my father got a discharge and came back home, he required a lot of attention and care in terms of the food he eats, the medicines, the hygiene etc. We planned on managing everything with my CAT coaching on weekends, my office and my preparation for the entrance exams. It was in these times that I used to worry a lot and doubt myself like how I will manage it all together but I had the will power and I didn’t want to give up. A lot of sacrifices, in terms of social circles and friends were made in this journey but with the support of my family, I stood strong and finally made it to one of the top B-schools of the country – International Management Institute, New Delhi. I plan on taking the learnings from this incident throughout my entire life and focusing on the things that matter a lot.
