Being a diversified brand, Aditya Birla Group has its presence in almost every industry and has been shaping our lives since 1857. With its industries in more than 35 countries, it has created a robust global presence and stature for India in the world.

Coming to the apparel industry, Pantaloons is my go-to brand for all my fashion needs. My mom still proudly carries the Ted Baker handbag which I gifted her with my first salary. Being a multi-brand platform, Planet Fashion is my favorite destination to shop for my friends. The Allen Solly formals, which I wore for my MBA interviews, instill a sense of confidence and poise in me. The fashion subsidiary of ABG has come up with Style Up in small cities to make fashion accessible to all. After the merger of Idea Cellular with Vodafone, Vodafone-Idea has become the largest telecom operator in India and will play a significant role in the launch and implementation of 5G in India. With its high-speed data and cheap data rates, it has provided me seamless connectivity at all times. Having worked in the telecom industry myself, I have seen the recognition that Vodafone Idea has earned. I feel that there is a trust which people repose in ABG than in any other business conglomerate. Ranging from the detergents and paints to the ceiling fans used at homes, from food processing to the tires of our cars, from copper and aluminum cans to the whole house itself, and all the highways, roads and bridges, almost everything has a touch of the ABG brand. The ABG schools and hospitals set up in tier 2 and tier 3 cities as a part of the corporate social responsibility have come a long way in providing the basic necessities to the less fortunate.  It will be a dream come true for me to be associated with this global brand.

Life is meaningless without any challenges. The joy of overcoming the obstacles in our path to achieving our dreams is something which motivates us to try harder and to continue to march onwards despite the failures. We all have faced many a challenges in our lives. There come moments in our life when we feel depressed and worthless. It was at such a phase in my life when I learned the most important lessons and never have I looked back after that. One of the most significant decisions I took in my life was leaving my job and joining a B-school. We live in a society where still men are considered to be the primary breadwinners of the family. My parents never asked me to settle for my job. They have always supported my dreams and ambitions. But some people carry the mindset that ambitions and high-paying jobs are only for men. Also, I had never lived away from my home and family. Resigning from my job and moving into an entirely new city was never an easy job. I was an introvert, and at that point in time, I could never fathom out that I will be doing things which I never considered to be my cup of tea. I now enjoy being thrown into entirely new, daunting situations. That is when you realize your hidden potential. You have to come out of the cocoon to experience the true essence of life. Appreciate criticism and take everything with a pinch of salt. Always make yourself a priority and be kind, no matter what.
