Why Aditya Birla Group Is Big in Your Life

In the last few years, Aditya Birla Group has been touching my world almost every day.  My Journey with ABG started 5 years ago when I was in my final year of graduation preparing myself for the final placements of my graduation in NIT Jamshedpur. Apart from preparing myself on technical aspects, I was keen on creating a very good first impression. My family has always been supportive and one day I was just discussing with my father about the formals which I was considering to buy for my final placements process. I still remember that the first brand which my father mentioned to me was Peter England. I was curious and asked my father why Peter England and my father told me – “This trust and relationship goes way back when we bought formals for your uncle’s placement process in IIT Madras and since then it has always stood up on my expectations and have kept their promise of quality.” I was really amazed and decided to try it and since then I have never looked back. Association with Peter England encouraged me to try on other products of ABG and as a customer my journey has been amazing. It is not just a brand for me, it has been a relationship built upon the trust and fulfilled promises.

How Have You Made an Impact –

Dream: Like most of the Indian families in small cities, my family as well wanted me to excel in my educations. I have been brought up realizing the importance of education in life and during my adolescent years, I too realized that I have an inner likeness for reading. I read everything from newspapers to the stories published in Nandan. My father and me used to discuss different business articles published in newspapers and how it impacts day to day lives of everyone across the globe. These discussions enrooted something in me and I developed a knack for businesses and though it took me some time but I realized that I want to be a manager, handle a business and improve people’s lives.

Journey and Challenges: I started my educational journey from a small Hindi medium school in Jamshedpur but have always been a very sincere student. My professors always encouraged or pushed me to do something extra and learn more. I still remember an incident which goes 11 years back when I was in standard 9 and got the first rank in my class. During the parent’s teacher meeting, one of my professors suggested my father to try to get me admitted to an English school as it can have more opportunities for me to grow as a student and clear some of the top competitive engineering exams since most of the coaching classes and good professors teaching in the city were teaching in English and it would also help in forming a strong peer group.

My father later told me the entire incident and explained to me the importance of it. First step for me was to clear the entrance exam of a good school and get admitted; Second was to prepare for the national level competitive engineering exams and clear it. To clear the entrance exams of a good English medium school was the first small challenge of my life as all the terms which I read for 11 years were in a different language though the underlying concepts were same. I spent close to 2-3 months to prepare for it and cleared the all the entrance exams that I appeared for. Now, it was time to address the second challenge and prepare for the competitive exams and clear it. I wanted to join the coaching classes as I believed that it would increase my chances of clearing these competitive engineering exams but the 15 times higher fees of my new school (70 Rs. to 1200 Rs.) was already a very costly affair for my family and the extra expense of coaching classes could not be afforded by my family entirely. Being a good academic student, I started teaching my junior students and supported my father in spending my coaching classes expenses.

Outcome: Later I cleared AIEEE exam with a good rank and joined NIT Jamshedpur and brought a smile to all my professors and relatives. It was first step and then later I got admissions in MDI Gurgaon and currently in the second year of the offered MBA program. I am still pursuing my dream and would continue to strive to achieve it.
