Part A

ABG is not just an organization, rather an emotion. We have grown up using its various products. I still have reminiscence of my mother wrapping food with Freshwrapp aluminum foil for my school tiffin. It is still a part of the majority of Indian homes. Fast forward to 2013, when I first got my first smartphone and the sim I decided to use was ‘Vodafone’. Six years and I still have the same number. Needless to say, this is because of the excellent network connectivity and data schemes provided by Vodafone. When I entered the MBA life, ABG came to my rescue once again. With its wide range of clothing brands like Allen Solly, Van Heusen, liva, American Eagle, and Pantaloons, ABG ensured that none of my wishes in terms of fashion remained unfulfilled. Forever 21 is my go to brand for the most fashionable dresses and comfortable summer tops.

The group has been a household name since its inception. UltraTech Cement and Hindalco Everlast are the foundation of millions of homes in India. There is no area of our lives that has been left untouched by ABG. Other than making our lives easier, it is also touching upon the marginalized sections of the society with its massive CSR work. It is doing some commendable work in sectors like healthcare, education, infrastructure, and sustainable livelihood. It can be undoubtedly concluded that with an incredibly large range of product offerings, ABG has become an indispensable part of our lives.

Part B

I believe each one of us experiences roller coaster lives. Some are able to cope through them, others struggle, a few give up. Being an extremely optimistic person, I have very seldom been despondent. However, that does not mean that I haven’t faced any hardships. Being born in a middle-class family in a not-so-big city (Kanpur), I have had my share of issues right from childhood. Moving to the capital city ‘Delhi’ for my graduation was a huge step for me. New city, new people, new ideologies and of course homesickness made it difficult for me to remain positive. Mustering up courage, I sailed through the tough times and became the person that I am today – much more woke, less judgmental, more tolerant, open-minded, more confident.

The second major phase of my life started once I was out of college and in search of a job. I was a bewildered adult with little idea of what she wanted in life. Finding a job in Bangalore and managing my own finances was a difficult yet learning experience. However, I did not want to settle for less. That is when I decided to quit my job and prepare for MBA entrances. It was ne of the toughest decisions of my life. However, with the immense support of my family and friends, I was able to overcome my anxiety. As a management student, I have daily struggles, which, however, I have started to enjoy.
