Right from my schooling days, I remember my mother preparing the lunch and wrapping the chapatis in Freshwrapp, which always kept my food fresh and in the recess time, my friends chasing me as I run with a football made of the wrap.

I remember how beautiful my mother looked in the Liva Saree which she wore in my cousin’s wedding. Vodafone acquired Hutch in India in 2007. The launch advertisement gave me my first pet a Pug. It was the time of Indian Premier league Season 2 when I was very much fascinated by “Zoozoo” advertisements and used to request my parents not to switch to other channels when I spot any of the advertisements. My first mobile phone was powered by Vodafone network only.

My father is my real hero and he is the one who introduced me to the brands like VanHeusen, Alley Solley and my favourite when it comes to formal wear Louis Philippe. Its latest advertisement “Louis Philippe- Rise above the rest” which looks more like an action movie trailer, beautifully position itself as a crest.

It was the time when I was about to leave home for my first job when my father came with Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance for me. My father’s first preference when it came to cement was Ultratech: India’s number one for obvious superior quality. And today when I am writing this, I realise it’s the one and only Aditya Birla Group which owns all these reliable brands.

I was born in mountains and I feel that made me very adventurous. Right from my engineering starting days, I had a wish to go to Shrikhand Mahadev trek which is at a height of 18,500 feet and is dangerous.

We were a group of 5 who started the trek. Despite of continuous rainfall, we somehow managed to keep the pace. On the 3rd day we were about to reach the top when we saw one trekker sliding down the snow-capped valley and we thought that this is the end for him. Fortunately, he got his hand stuck with a tree and was asking for help. The night was approaching, and it was time to decide. Many of my friends suggested to descent down and call for help. But to reach the nearest village it would have taken us around 8 hours. So, two of us explained them that it must be us. Without wasting much time, I with my friend put torches and water bottle in a bag and asked our friends to tie a rope to the bark of a tree and holding that we started moving down the slope and managed to save his life.

The mantra to overcome challenges for me is to keep my mind calm and rely on my strengths. Its “Everything or Nothing” for me. Once I decide I must do it, I stop only after completing it. In YJHD, when Ranbir Kapoor said “Bus Rukna Nhi Chata”, I felt it.
