Aditya Birla Group has a very special place in my heart. Whenever I think of some special occasions of my life, I can say that ABG’s contributions have made them more special. A mother is always concerned about her child’s health and after her child crosses a certain age, it becomes a little difficult for her to address this concern. Since my early teenage years, it is FRESHWRAPP which took care of my mother’s concern by helping in keeping the packaged food fresh, healthy and yummy. Nowadays, it very evident that FRESHWRAPP has become another name for aluminium foils.
It is rightly said that “A friend in need is a friend indeed”, ABG acted like a true friend to my father when he was in urgent need of the money. When everyone pulled their hands and denied lending the money, it was BIRLA FINANCE who came as a saviour and promised to help our family by ensuring a very smooth loan process. When we were in a dilemma about selecting a safe and secure place to invest the savings, it was again ABG which offered some exceptional investment plans which were easy to understand, accessible and aligned with aspirations and ambitions of my family.
In 2015, when the construction of our dream home started, it was ULTRATECH CEMENT which ensured that both our dream and the home remain as strong as cement’s strength. The moment of entering my dream home still makes me nostalgic and the ULTRATECH CEMENT is an integral part of it.
Coming from a small town, I still remember the day when I visited a mall for the first time. I was awestruck by the massive structure and the presence of big shopping stores. Searching for an affordable t-shirt inside a big mall was a challenge and it was PANTALOONS which brought an end to this hunting. My first ever t-shirt bought from a mall was from PANTALOONS store and that memory is still very close to my heart. To be presentable at all times is one of the key requirements of corporate and your attire can create a big difference. When I joined corporate, formal attire was the best option to achieve the aforementioned goal but finding the perfect formal is not an easy job. For this, I landed up in a mall and started looking for all the available options, my search stopped at a PLANET FASHION store having the presence of some very good brands like Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, and Peter England. ABG again played a very big role in my life by offering perfect apparels personifying style, attitude, luxury, and comfort. Those apparels gave me not only a presentable look but a sense of confidence as well.
ABG’s contribution to my life is massive and it is difficult to imagine a single day without it. Aditya Birla Group is not only big but a crucial part of my life and the bond that we share is unbreakable.
It’s all about maintaining a Positive Attitude.
We deal with different kinds of situations and phases in our life. It can be either positive or negative, the former brings joy and while the latter may be challenging or sufficient to tear you apart. One’s approach towards dealing with these situations is a deciding factor in order to achieve the goals and ambitions in life.
Till the fourth standard, my education was in Hindi medium. When my father realized the importance of English in the near future, he decided to admit me in an English medium school. So, after clearing the entrance test of Kendriya Vidyalaya, I got admission in the Fifth standard. The environment in the new school was highly competitive and hard work was the only option to survive. I had the pressure of understanding the subjects which were in English and at the same time performing well in those subjects so as to maintain good grades. I started studying regularly and kept in mind that hard work, consistency, and dedication always pays off. I continued doing so afterward and from the results, it was evident that everything is achievable if you have the will and courage to do so.
The next challenging situation was during the final year of under-graduation, placement season was about to start and some big MNCs were in line for the recruitment. I was under tremendous pressure as not only I was among the high performers in the branch but also a member of the placement committee. My aim was to get placed in the first company itself knowing the fact that it will not be easy to get placed in other companies due to large batch strength. First company came; I got rejected in the final round which in my opinion was due to casual attitude. Soon, I started working on correcting this attitude. After that several other companies continued visiting the campus, in some of them I failed to qualify even the first round and in some was unable to clear the final rounds. Almost 8 months had passed and I was not placed. Most of my peers were placed at that time. I didn't want to disappoint myself as well as my parents, so I kept working hard. The result of this hard work was that one fine day, I got placed in two different companies and that too in off-campus drives among thousands of students.
Key factors in overcoming these challenges were all about understanding the right attitude as a casual attitude is not going to help in any case. And the fact is that it is not sure that every time life will give you a second chance, so make sure you grab the opportunity when it comes and give your best.
