The only thing in life which is constant is change. As simple as this statement sounds, it brings a set of easiness as well as difficulties in one’s life. One of the greatest challenges in guy’s life believe it or not is to shop for clothes as he would no longer like the choice of the parents. This scenario was faced by me approximately 15 years back where they were not so many malls in Delhi as well and a new multi-store had come up, known as Pantaloons.

As funny this may sound every guy would understand the complexity it comes when buying clothes on their own without wasting a lot of time as most of the time goes into gaming – be in indoor games or outdoor. Pantaloons had a plethora of brands one could choose from for products ranging from t-shirts to shoes. One could buy their first formal attire to everyday wear from Pantaloons which came as a godsend for lazy guys like us.

Moreover there are a lot of products which has crossed paths which were from Aditya Birla Group which were never realized take it Fresh Wrap – a product which had kept our food fresh or Vodafone Idea partnership formerly Idea cellular networks – one of the cellular networks providing wackiest options ranging from “Walk and Talk” advert or a fixed set of mobile numbers which started from “98101…” to make it publicly aware of the fact that one uses IDEA  network.

As part of everyone’s life, there comes a set of challenges based on their ambitions, their wants, and needs. I come from a family of non-IT professionals and from my childhood, my ambition has been to come up with games/ software or merely solutions that would deeply help people ranging from automation of the whole process that goes on in a clinic for better data keeping to a self-help coding product for budding engineers.

The solution that would seem viable to anyone with such dreams – Engineer. The flaw in the plan? An engineer would not be able to help without a problem set and automation kind of things are not part of any curriculum in India. A trickier way that I used to achieve it was to go for an MBA. This would sound confusing at first – “How could an engineer through MBA achieve the above?”. The answer – MTech programs in India are meant for people who want to pursue their careers in pure technology and automation’s baseline is domain knowledge and the ability to conquer any feat through any way possible, which requires knowledge in Statistics, Finance, Marketing which is a baseline in MBA programs.

Through following this route, which is quite different from others who would want to pursue the similar paths, I landed in many competitions, projects which would require the skills I was looking for which helped me realize that I am on right track till now to achieve my ambition so far.
