How Aditya Birla impacted my life
"Your success is directly proportional to the number of lives you have touched for the better." It's safe to say that the Aditya Birla Group is a shining example of this quote as it touches and continues to touch millions of lives everyday with its plethora of brands.
The Aditya Birla Group is a name that is synonymous with our everyday lives since not a day goes by when we don't use at least one of their products. I would like to mention how some of the brand babies of the Aditya Birla Group have played a pivotal role in my life.
As a school kid, the most anticipated moment of the day would be the lunch break during which we would pounce on our friends' tiffin boxes for the delicious food cooked by their mothers. And it was Aditya Birla's Freshwrapp that preserved the freshness of the food, and in the process, helped preserve our mothers' love as well.
I also remember the sweat on my forehead and my heart pounding out of nervousness when I was waiting in line, about to enter the pressure room a.k.a; the interview room. We were told to look sharp and well dressed. As my personality and preparation took care of the sharp part, it was Aditya Birla Group’s Van Heusen which took care of the well-dressed part with its fabulous range of classy and comfortable formal wear.
A house holds millions of memories of its residents and is also something that stays on for generations to come. UltraTech cement helps maintain the integrity of such millions of houses and continues to provide shelter and preserve those sentiments and moments.
How my will and determination helped overcome the challenges in my life
Everyone’s journey of life has countless short and significant stories. Stories of struggle, stories of failures, stories of triumphs, everything. Similarly, mine isn’t any different. Since childhood, my father has had a transferrable job and I haven’t spent more than a year and a half in each of the 7 schools I have studied in. Every time I started to settle in to a new school, new environment, new people, new places, my father would get transferred to a new location. There have been instances where I have joined schools mid-session and have had to appear for half yearly exams in a few weeks with the immense pressure of a humongous syllabus to cover. Even though it might seem trivial right now, but at that day and age, it was a monumental task. After a number of such instances, I learnt how to socialise and adjust myself to new places with people hailing from varied ethnicities. I learnt to quickly adjust and put my head down to work. And like most stories have a good ending, mine ends with the fact that I aced most of those exams and managed to rank well. And this quality became a part of my personality and has helped me succeed in various situations in life.
Another story I would like to share is that of my MBA story. Coming from an engineering background, that too from a mechanical branch, finding an apt job was a difficult task. As everyone knows, employment nowadays is mostly in the IT/ITeS sector. Being in love with my subject, I wished to work for a firm in the mechanical field before pursuing my MBA. In the process, I rejected a few IT company job offers that I got and ended up having not many options in the mechanical field. I tried to not panic and act according to the situation and joined a startup with a low pay just to add to my exposure of the job world so I could get meaningful experience before pursuing my MBA and today here I am after having completed my 1st year of MBA and looking forward to my final year.
