WHY ADITYA BIRLA GROUP IS BIG IN MY LIFE?
One brand of Aditya Birla Group played a big role in my life and I had a very close connect with that particular brand in my professional life. Being a mechanical engineering graduate, it was my destiny that I had to end up working in a Multinational Construction firm for a brief period of one year. This one-year period is when I had a daily encounter with one of Aditya Birla Group’s product. Yes, it is none other than the “Ultratech Cement”. Hardly a day passed without my encounter with this product of ABG. True to its tagline “The Engineer’s Choice”, Ultra Tech cement was the most preferred choice of the engineers (including myself) in the company that I worked for. An Important factor that amused me was the depth and quality of the logistics systems and network that Ultratech cement had.
The trust that my employer had on UltraTech cement was very significant that made UltraTech cement an integral part of every other infrastructure projects handled by my employer throughout the country. This statement holds true and significant with other similar companies in the infrastructure segment. UltraTech cement gained the trust of its customers by offering products with high quality, durability, availability and also with an excellent customer service network. Through this trust gained amongst its customer, UltraTech cement could achieve the feat of becoming India’s Number one cement and could stand up to the reputation further on.
As a management aspirant, one great learning I had from Ultratech as a brand was that gaining customer’s trust is an integral and important part of the business. Thus, it would be significant to say that Aditya Birla Group is big in my life and would continue to be so.
HOW DID I OVERCOME CHALLENGES TO ACHIEVE MY AMBITIONS IN LIFE?
One of the main challenges I faced in my life was after my graduation when I felt lost and had no clue of the direction to move forward in life. My solemn ambition in life was to be in a position where I could take good care of my parents and help in the growth of people who rely upon me and work under my leadership.
After my graduation I landed up in a decent job which served me as a platform to deliver my skills and learnings. But I felt that the career path I chose was a resistance and resilience to achieve my ambition in life and this is the moment in my life where I felt loss and clueless. I had to overcome this challenge of being lost and being clueless about the direction to move forward in life. I found that the negativity bias in myself is the reason for the current situation in my life. I also found that the negativity pulled me back in taking right decisions at right time.
To overcome this, I started focusing on the positive and the right things around me to cultivate positivity in me. This positivity helped me in gaining confidence which I felt I lacked before. The confidence that grew in me helped me taking a bold decision in my life. The decision was regarding the direction to proceed in my career which turned out to be the direction in my life. That decision I made was to pursue management education which would make me a good leader.
With that decision made and along with the confidence and positivity, I am marching towards achieving my ambition in my life.
