PART - A- WHY ADITYA BIRLA GROUP IS BIG IN OUR LIFE
Aditya Birla Group is one of the biggest Indian multinational conglomerates and it also
represents India in the league of fortune 500 companies of the world. Aditya Birla
Group operates in 35 countries with more than 120,000 employees worldwide.
Aditya Birla Group also had a big impact in my life as the last two years had been
tough for me because once you get out of your teens, getting away with wearing smart
casuals is not possible and we are expected to show up wearing formals and me being
fond of a comfortable attire, took some time to adjust to it. Finding a good shirt and
trouser brand is difficult as I have many factors in my mind before choosing any
clothing. After trying many brands what I noticed was that Van Heusen was the brand
for me. Their shirts and trousers were readily available in my size and had a classy
texture and were comfortable fit and overall gave me the feeling that I am not a boy
anymore and I have become a man. Also, the shirts were within my budget range and
were readily available in the colors and patterns I wanted. It’s been 2 years now and
my set of formals still give me the same amount of confidence the day I wore it for the
first time. The satisfaction that this product gave me has been unparalleled till now and
this is something I would recommend to everybody.
Also today I am a part of IIM Raipur which is known for its discipline when it comes to
dressing sense. The perks of being a part of this institute are that I get to wear these
clothes every day. I am thankful to Aditya Birla Group for owning such a wonderful
brand which has been a huge influence in my life.
PART - B - How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far
Many of the students start to choose their career path so early in their age but my case
was not that simple. In my family where my parents and most of my relatives are from a
science background, it was very difficult to convince them that I wanted to take
commerce as my main subject for the higher secondary. But after I convinced them all,
there was a bigger challenge ahead of me. When I was studying in higher secondary I
had very little clue about what I wanted to do in my career. At that time I was confused
and decided to study for various competitive exams after higher secondary mainly for
CLAT and IPM. During my preparation, I made up my mind about going to an IIM for
doing MBA because of the qualities a manager possess and also the opportunities that
an IIM graduate gets. That year I appeared for the exam and cleared the entrance exam
but in IIMs that was never going to be enough. I couldn’t convert IIM Indore’s interview
round. But I didn’t lose hope as I decided to give CAT 2018 after my graduation and
prepared for it very sincerely. But sometimes you cannot control things that are not in
your hand like health. I fell ill due to dengue in mid-November just 15 days before the
exam and was hospitalized. At that time I was disheartened as I wasn’t even sure that I
could even recover in time and appear for the exam. But as we all know these situations
only makes a person stronger. I appeared for the exam and scored well and converted
one of the most prestigious institutes in India i.e. IIM Raipur and i consider it as my
biggest achievement so far in my life.
