Have you heard of Aditya Birla Group ?
Of course YES, that was a silly question to ask!
From Fashion to Textile, Telecom to Finance and from Cement to Metal Industry, there is no sector that Aditya Birla Group has left untapped. This conglomerate has interacted with 1,20,000 employees residing across 35 countries. Started in 1857 by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla in a small village in Rajasthan, the group has never looked back since then.
Coming to why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life, ABG has become a part of our daily lives. Starting with the Telecom sector, Vodafone Idea Limited is currently the leading telecom service provider in India and second largest in the World. I have been a loyal user of Idea since a long time, the reason being its emphasis on superior voice quality and broadband connectivity. What people don’t know is that 20% of Vodafone Idea’s telecom towers are operated by hybrid power which eventually reduces carbon emissions.
The most common form of interaction with this brand can be found in the fashion domain. Aditya Birla Group’s offering varies from high range brands like Peter England, Van Huesen and Allen Solly to medium range brands like Pantaloons. I genuinely feel comfortable and distinguished while wearing one of those. The good part is these brands offer both casual and formal type of clothing.
The values and culture that Aditya Birla Group works on is unique and cannot be imitated by any other brand. All the brands of the group are customer centric and treats Customers as King in real sense. Another thing to be appreciated is that the actions of ABG are such that they care about the environment too. Apart from these, ABG is well known for sharing with the society.
Aditya Birla Group is something that everyone wants to be associated with.
Now Coming to How I have made an Impact!
The following instance is from my school days.
I was shy as a person and realized this shortcoming of mine before going to high school when I had a hard time addressing school assemblies. Such public appearances used to haunt me.
My family, and my father in particular, guided me to a great extent to overcome this stage fear. He convinced me that shyness was something that was holding me back and I should definitely learn to get past it and become more confident. To start with, I tried to understand what triggered my shyness at the first place. I tried not to allow my inner critic to put me down and eventually practiced myself in uncomfortable situations.
As a result, I am able to address and interact with a large audience and also got an opportunity to host an event in the college which I did with full confidence and without any hesitation. This has in general made a strong and positive impact in my life.
This made me realize that change doesn't magically happen overnight. It certainly takes time, effort, and of course, the desire to change.
