Aditya Birla Group an Indian multinational conglomerate is working for past 162 years to make our lives better and easier. The products created by this group have been a vital part of my life. I had been using them since my childhood, never realizing that I was creating such memories which will be my “nostalgia” moment in my adult life.
How can I forget that “Freshwrapp”! A part of my earliest memories is that tiffin box which had freshly made parantha’s by my mom wrapped up in that beautiful silver foil. That silver foil was kind of a fascination for me back then. Now when I am living far away from home, missing my breakfast almost every day, I realize how precious those days were.
Shopping was one thing which used to fuel up my mom but we had no good shopping complexes in Jodhpur back then, so whenever we went to Mumbai we used to buy a lot of clothes from pantaloons. My mom believed in stocking up enough clothes so that we can wear new clothes almost every day for a month. That used to be one happy feeling when you come back home and try on everything again just to have that feel good factor in your new clothes.
I remember that time when it was my dad’s birthday and I really wanted to gift him a nice shirt to wear to his office. I took my sister with me to Peter England and we ended up buying not one, not two but three Shirts for him as we couldn’t resist the large variety it offered. Now when I think back then I wonder how regularly I have been shopping with Aditya Birla Group, be it Forever21 or Liva or People or Linen Club. I even aspire to be a customer to some of their brands such as Ted Baker or Ralph Lauren.
Every one go through some bad time in their lives, the ups and downs are like the speed breakers which slows us down for a while to make us realize that life goes on. I have had great ups and downs in terms of my career selection. Lack of proper guidance led me to follow the herd every time. Be it the subject selection in high school or opting for chartered accountancy course after high school, I made a choice impacted by my peers only. My Chartered accountancy course gave me one major setback and ended up spending 4 years of my life there without any results. After deciding to opt out of the course I now needed that courage and confidence that was completely sucked out of me because of so many failures. A new chance popped up, my dad was building a new house and he asked me for the interior décor project of the house, Aditya birla group was still a part there because of “Ultra Tech Cement”. I met that creative side of me during that project, it was challenging but I was up for it. After the successful completion of the project I received great level of appreciation from my friends and family and I even got some small projects later on and that helped me meet my lost confidence again. I decided to do MBA and have a whole and scholastic experience of learning. Now I am in one of the top MBA colleges of India where I learn and live every day of life as “Learning never stops at GIM”.
I am having a big nostalgia hit reading about the Aditya Birla brands and writing this currently. Thank you Aditya Birla Group, you have been a big part of our lives in a subtle but strong manner. What an “Idea” sirji!
