Aditya Birla Group – Enriching the Minuscule Moments of Life

Operating across 14 industry sectors and creating employment  opportunities for over a 120,000 people, Aditya Birla Group has been a part of our daily lives, impacting and adding value to each and every little moment. It is one of the first Indian brands that comes to our mind when we speak of successful International conglomerates based in India, who have really brought pride to our nation. When I moved to India last year, my first ABG purchase was a Vodafone Idea sim card. ABG has brought my favorite international brands to Indian shelves – Forever 21, Ted Baker, Ralph Lauren. Being born and raised in Dubai, which I’ve mostly considered as my first home, walking into a mall and seeing these brands inculcated a feeling of being at home within me. By bringing these brands to India, ABG has brought back that feeling of being ‘at home’ for me, while being away from home. Besides these, all of my college life I have purchased my formals from Van Huesen and Allen Solly, ABG has been a significant part of my college memories. It continues to impact so many lives mysteriously by being one of the largest exporters of agricultural grains and tea to the Middle Eastern countries. Growing up I wasn’t aware that the Indian rice and pulses that my mother brought home are in fact there by dint of the prestigious Aditya Birla Group. ABG continues to enrich our lives by providing us quality and lasting memories related to the salient materialistic aspects of our life, and creating an admirable position in all our hearts.

Personal Challenges

Overcoming challenges makes us who we are, whether we are successful or not, they help us define our character, and discover our hidden strengths. The way your pursue challenges in life is extremely important, and in my opinion one must always look up to facing them with the most positive attitude possible.

One of the biggest challenges that I faced in my life was when I had to make the big move from my birthplace, Dubai, to India. It mostly dawned on because the decision was so abrupt and hasty. It was difficult to leave behind the best memories of my childhood and teenage, especially because a large part of me was unwilling to go forth with this change. When I moved here initially I faced a huge culture shock and found it extremely difficult to relate with people and their experiences. Overtime I realized that it was me being too harsh on myself, so much that a part of me of simply unwilling to accept this place. To tackle with this feeling of anxiety, I set out to discover my new city, Mumbai, with hopes that when I returned home that night I would feel differently about it. I saw the busy streets of Bandra, visited the Gateway of India, and ate at the Leopold’s Café, and I was able to change my mind. There is so much beauty and talent hidden away in these streets, all one needs is a change of perception to recognize the scope in this city. And since that day, I have only felt positive. No challenge is unbeatable; one just has to learn to look at things from a third eye.
