I do not believe in destiny. It is our choices that make us what we are. According to me, every bit of effort that anyone has put in their lives at any point of time, pays off eventually. It may be that one gets to realize the result so late that they’re unable to relate it to their efforts. But they are still there.
The challenges I have had in my life are not extraordinary – every typical Indian student has them. But when one zooms in, it is clear that those challenges arise out of completely unique circumstances.
I had always been a top performer in my school. So, when I appeared for various engineering exams after class 12th, I was naturally expected to perform well. But it didn’t happen. I failed miserably and let down all those who believed in me – my parents, teachers and my friends. My performance was bad to the extent that I had to get my stream changed. My self-doubt had become overpowering enough to convince me that I was not ‘fit’ for science. I had never felt so lost in life.
It was then when my Dad gave me the most precious advice of my life – “Life is about survival. Make the best of what you’ve got.”
After that, I never looked back. I qualified for doing graduation from Banaras Hindu University – one of the most reputed universities in the country. And now I’m studying at Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, which undeniably is one of the premier institutes in the nation. It was because of the decisions I made in the face of struggle and dejection that I’ve made this far in life.

Its projects are carried out under the aegis of the Aditya Birla Centre for Community Initiatives and Rural Development. They have collaborations with some of the greatest organisations like WHO, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Habitat for Humanity etc.
Aditya Birla Group has some of the most impactful initiatives which has changes the lives of millions of people. Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital, Aditya Birla World Academy and Sarala Birla Academy are some of those initiatives.
In this way, Aditya Birla Group has become more than just a company. It has embedded so deeply into the fabric of our lives that now it is hard to imagine living without this name.
