“BIRLA” is something which has a great impact in my life. I am from a small village in Bihar. In my village when some children used to express a very big dreams, elder used to told “BIRLA banna hai?” Are you going to be “BIRLA”? Birla was a household name. There are only few business houses which are known Pan India. Aditya Birla Group is one of them. As I grow up, whenever there was any ceremony like marriage in our house or in our relative places, my father used to gift people clothes of a brand name “GRASIM”. So, there used to be lot of Grasim clothes all around. My father loves to dress well. So, he used to tell me that when I will pass my 10th exam with good score he would buy me a shirt of Van Heusen and he did buy me a Van Heusen shirt and Van Heusen sports trouser. As the time passes our family size increases. We were 3 sisters and a brother. So, my father started constructing a new house and the cement that used to come for the construction was UltraTech Cement and he would often tell that the house will stand still for generations. At that age I was not aware that all this brand actually comes under the same umbrella of Aditya Birla Group. Yes, the same Birla whose name we were hearing since I was born. The brand which resonates the Indian minds ever since Independence. The group has grown leap and bound since its inception with its presence in 35 countries. Now, I have grown up and with my first salary I gifted my father a Louis Philippe shirt and he was in tears. Pantaloons has become my one stop shopping destination and Allen Solly, Louis Philippe, Van Heusen and People have become my Go-To brands.
