What is the most beautiful thing about childhood? Cuddling with mom on a cold winter night? Or maybe going out for a game of football with dad on a summer afternoon? We all have beautiful childhood memories that we wish to live over and over again. I am thankful that one thing from my childhood has remained constant i.e., shopping with my mom. Pantaloons has been in Kolkata since I was 2 years of age. I remember how my mom used to take me to the store and how we used to spend hours shopping; trying out new clothes and making preparations for occasions. Whether it’s about attending a marriage ceremony, purchasing gifts for my brothers on Rakshabandhan or planning to buy a dress for my birthday- Pantaloons has always been a one-stop solution for all. I relive my childhood whenever I go shopping in Pantaloons with my mom. Even when I go along with my friends, there’s always a feeling of nostalgia. This feeling is nowhere close to what I feel even when I go to the most premium brands to shop. I can proudly say that Aditya Birla Group has created the most beautiful and ever-lasting impact in my life. It is irreplaceable and invaluable. Not all conglomerates have the capability to touch your life in a way that Aditya Birla Group does. They know what you want and they will leave no stone unturned in bringing that to you in the most affordable and accessible way.
I am extremely grateful to the fact that I have been born in a family where I was given the prerogative to follow my heart and explore new things in life. Having said that, I have always been under the guidance of my parents; they jumped in and helped me whenever I was in a mess. Therefore, in this aspect, I never faced any challenges to achieve whatever I wanted to. However, there are a lot of battles that I fought internally. I have always doubted the choices that I made, kept thinking about the consequences it failed and even questioned my abilities. To give a bit of history here- One fine day, I saw an injured animal on the street who met with an accident, and that’s when I decided that I wanted to do something for these animals. I planned to start an NGO and arrange veterinary care for these injured or sick animals on the street. My parents had the unwavering support of me. I circulated the message on various platforms asking people if they would like to work for this cause and created a group which was called ‘The Other Being’. We conducted workshops at schools, educated children about animal rights, rescued and treated injured animals and collaborated with other NGOs. Every time I did something, I used to get apprehensive and question myself as I mentioned in the beginning. But then, it dawned upon me that the most important thing in life is to take initiative. That’s how I have been able to do what I have always wanted to. Negative thoughts may cross our minds, but it’s important to do that thing anyway. We only fail when we stop trying.
