Impact of Aditya Birla Group on my life
A group as big as Aditya Birla Group has certainly affected a lot of people’s lives in India as it is one of the biggest and the oldest private conglomerate which got incepted in 1857. When talking about the group, the first product that comes to my mind is “Ultratech Cement”. Cement is one of the most important requirement for any developing nation to build the infrastructure, which if not directly, has indirectly affected my life in a big way. Apart from the cement, Aditya Birla Group also offers clothing, while “Grasim” helped me get my school pants, the in-house brands like, “Louis Philippe, Allen Solly, Peter England” were there for my days at work requiring formal wear. “Madura Fashion & Lifestyle”, is coming up as a new name in the retail industry with presence Pan-India and serving the clothing needs. Aditya Birla Group has indeed made a great impact on my life, by starting up with “More” retail stores. The wide variety of products and presence at easily accessible locations made it even more convenient for me to visit the place. The warm behaviour of staff also encouraged me to visit the place often once in a while and enhancing the experience at the store and making an impact in the life. In the end, I very clearly remember how “Idea” came and positioned itself as a Youth Brand, and made it very relatable. The tagline “What an Idea Sirji!” is still very fresh in my mind and gets frequently used. Over and all, Aditya Birla Group has made several major impacts on my life.
Overcoming Challenges to achieve ambitions
As they say there are no free lunches, nothing comes easy. Similarly to overcome my challenges to reach my ambition has been, if not great, but a good enough story. The ambition to reach a good management college was preceded by the most challenging thing, MATHS. First highly afraid of the concept, I realised that I would have to overcome this fear of mine to reach the ambition. I started preparing, and started with the very concepts and slowly worked towards more complicated problems. Soon I was able to solve problems easily, but the key factor was consistency and hard-work. Overcoming my limitations in being able to crack interviews took a great toll on my self esteem and my dreams of getting into a good B-School, but I appeared for mock interviews, developed my skills and finally landed up at a great B-School.
