Aditya Birla Group, founded in 1857 by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla, is one of the biggest Conglomerates in India. The group operates in domestic as well as international markets with access to over 35 countries. Some of the businesses operated by the conglomerate are in the field of Metals, Cement, Telecommunication, Textile, Financial Services etc and is doing exceptionally well in all the sectors.
My family has always dreamt of owning our own house and a company of the group, Aditya Birla Housing Finance Limited helped us fulfil our dream. The company is into the business of Housing Finance. When we thought of buying our own house, it was very difficult for us to arrange for funds to fulfil our dream. Every company we went to rejected our loan application on grounds of – “Property Inappropriate for Funding”. But it was at Aditya Birla Housing Finance, they not even heard us properly but also understood very well – “Own House is a dream and not just a property, hence cannot be inappropriate for funding”.
We not only got the funds at the best possible rates but also got great and timely responses from ABHFL. I feel delighted when I see my own house and always thank ABHFL for making my family’s dream come true.
The Aditya Birla Group is into one more business – Textile and Fashion. The popular brands that the group has are – Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Linen Club and many more. This division of the group holds a special significance in my success in life so far. The group understands very well that - “The way one dresses tells a lot about one’s Personality”.
From my college days to my workplace, be it casuals or formals I have always trusted the brands of Aditya Birla viz. Louis Philippe for Formals and Allen Solly for Casual wear. The reasons are very obvious for such selection – the finest of the material and designs. They make every occasion more special with something to offer for every occasion. That’s what make one feel confident and paves the way for success in life.
Problems in life come with no prior intimation. They don’t give time to an individual for preparation on “How to tackle with the Problem”. Such problems, by virtue of their nature, poses a challenge to the normal functioning of life. In such a situation, the person affected is left with two options – one is “Keep Complaining” and the other is “Face the Problem Boldly”.
I also had such an experience in life where I had to decide between the two options and I feel proud that I took a decision of Facing the Problem. It paved my way to success in life.
The major challenges in my life were posed by my low immunity to diseases since birth. At very early stage of life I was diagnosed with Acute Bronchitis. At every stage of life, I have faced issues relating to my bad health. Be it Sports, Music or Academics I have always been affected due to my health issues but I never gave up.
The first challenge I faced in life was when I started singing. I loved classical music and was good at singing but it required a great deal of breadth which was a problem for me. At times I used to break down singing a song. I was advised not to go for singing by my doctor as well as it was not good for my health. But I took it as a challenge. I started with some Yoga and Breathing exercises daily and was able to manage my breadth to some extent. The result achieved was perhaps my first win against my ill-health – I got selected for the Choir group of my school and took part in various singing competitions at my school level.
The second time I faced challenges in my life was when I opted for Table-Tennis as my core sport at school level. The sports activities always require a lot of hard work and a similar deal of fitness. I was never able to run for short distances due to Bronchitis. It was very difficult for me to cope up with the amount of labour required for being fit for playing the Sport. I did start slowly and steadily to build on my stamina and with time I was able to perform well in this field.
The most challenging decision for me in life was to move to New Delhi for Post-Graduation at International Management Institute. The pollution levels in the city were alarming and it was a cause of concern for me. I was asked to drop a year and aim for colleges in some other city but I refused to do so. I insisted on joining the programme and pursue my study in New Delhi. During my initial days in New Delhi, I faced many breathing issues but I did not give up. I never complained about this and took precautions on my end such as using a mask whenever I used to step out of my hostel room. Slowly and gradually I got accustomed to such conditions. This decision of my life will always hold a special importance in my life as it will pave the way for my future growth in Life.
