ABG as a brand has distinguished itself to become the omnipresent conglomerate, whose products have become the part and parcel of our life. It has established itself in the world of fashion, telecommunications, cement industry, NBFC sector and chemical industry. Their recent new avatar, has set up a new mark to achieve new milestone. And its new tagline, #BigInyourLife is something that I personally associate with a lot, because I believe that ABG, through their product-offerings, has touched upon innumerable lives in a healthy and positive way, revolutionising their own growth story in a short span of two decades.

Specifically how ABG became such an indispensable part of my life, is because of the special memories that the brand has gifted me. It is rightly said that the values that the children preserve, are a reflection of the values inculcated at home. Not only me, but my family is also a big fan of the group. My father closely watches what is happening in the business world and has always good words to say about Aditya Birla for their impeccable market insights.

On his 50th birthday, I gifted him a Peter England formal shirt and as soon as he received it, his smile reflected a host of emotions, most importantly, love and trust that he has for the brand.

On my first day at my B-School, IMI New Delhi, I was wearing a formal suit which was from Allen Solly. The sheer confidence and the aura that I could feel in myself, is a feeling that is very hard to express in words. The exemplary values that the multinational powerhouse associates itself with, is a testament to the genuineness incorporated in all its product and service offerings.

Overcoming challenges to make it big in life

Our challenges are the stories that make us unique and define us, who we really are, to the world. I believe that all the challenges that I have faced in my life uptil now have made me resilient and confident in myself.

In my second year, as a part of the Sponsorship Team of my college, for fest, me and my team team had to make a sales pitch to the potential sponsor. We had worked really hard on the proposal and were assertive and confident that we would get this company to sponsor our fest, but it did not work out the way we wanted it to. The company rejected our proposal on the grounds that we were expecting a bit more for what we were ready to give. This experience taught me an important lesson on focusing, not only on meeting a goal, but as to how to make the most out of the opportunity and achieve it with the judicious use of the available resources. Also it taught me to not go overboard with expectations and give logic and reason precedence over my emotions.

Next year, again we set up the meeting with the concerned person, to talk about sponsorship for the fest. This time, we worked harder on the proposal and our pitching skills as well. We weighed the pros and cons and asked for the reasonable amount for the deliverables which we were offering. Thankfully, we got the offer the second time.

That was the moment of pure ecstasy for me.
