Why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life?
In my life, I have always been motivated to dream big & achieve big – similar to the lines in which Aditya Birla Group has grown bigger & better while becoming a market leader in several sectors both inside & outside India. One of the largest business houses in India, Aditya Birla Group (ABG) has had a great impact on my life through several touch points.
My preferred shopping destination is Planet Fashion – a one-stop shop for all my favorite brands - Allen Solly, LP (that’s the way I call Louis Phillipe), Van Heusen. It makes shopping a lot easier. When it comes to my investments, my go-to destination for mutual funds is Aditya Birla Mutual fund house. Ultratech cement was used to build our dream house. I use Vodafone-Idea network to keep in touch with my loved ones. I enjoy all the above-mentioned services & products as they offer great customer experience with awesome quality.
I was amazed by the fact that the cans that are used for soft drinks come back to the market after being recycled by Novelis Inc. ABG has set up 4500 women empowerment groups, 1000 biogas plants & treats over a million patients through camps & hospitals. These efforts draw me even more towards ABG products & services because of their responsible, eco-friendly & sustainable operations.
An organization can decide to go about doing business in any way it prefers. But ABG has been a benchmark for everyone in the way it runs its companies. The mission of ABG is “To deliver superior value to our customers, shareholders, employees, and society at large”. With such a holistic approach towards businesses, ABG has put in serious efforts into bringing its products – from nanoparticles that make automobiles tyres safer (Birla Carbon) to insulators providing safe electricity in villages & towns - into market in a responsible manner, minimising damage to mother nature while empowering its employees & satisfying its wide customer base. That is why the ABG group is BIG in my life. I believe that the constant efforts put in by ABG contribute to making my life

How I overcame challenges in my life to achieve my ambitions?
“Challenges are opportunities in disguise”
My strong belief in the above quote gives me the right attitude to face a challenge. My habit of taking up a challenge head on instead of running away from it gives me a head start to overcome any challenge.
When I was in school, I was finding the subject of chemistry very difficult. But this didn’t deter me from scoring well in the same. Since I had identified my difficulty in learning the subject, I made sure that I put in extra efforts. I got help from my friends & teachers, simultaneously ensuring that I don’t lag behind in other subjects. This helped me in scoring excellently in my 12th board examination.
After I was done with my schooling, I realized that my health had taken a hit and I came under the overweight category. I wanted to lose before I pursue my graduation. I had to control my taste buds & tell no to high calorie & delicious food. I also had to work out for two hours every day, over a period of six months, in the gym. All these were difficult to go about consistently for a longer period of time. As I started off with the process, I found it difficult at the beginning but my conviction to reduce weight was able to overpower whatever came in the way. I made a commitment to not pursue anything that will upset my weight loss regime. Through this, I was able to drastically reduce weight within a short period of time & feel confident about myself.
Recently, when I started my preparation for MBA entrance examinations, I had to work at the office & then prepare at home with maximum efficiency & concentration. This was a challenge at the beginning. But as days passed by, I learned to manage both through better time management. I utilized time efficiently at work so that I could reach home early & prepare. At times when I was free, I made sure that I either went to the library to revise a few concepts or took small mock tests at my place. Because of my ability to perform consistently both at work & in my preparation, I was able to excel at work & in exams. I was recognized for my work by my client & I excelled in all exams that I had enrolled for. Eventually, I converted Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management, IIT – Bombay – one of the leading B-Schools in India, thus making my life Bigger & Better.
