Holla!!... Yes... An Umbrella… That’s what ADITYA BIRLA GROUP has been for me since my childhood days. I was a kid and used to accompany Mom to MORE store. That used to be my favourite place in the entire world then. And I still reminisce multiple bags of ULTRATECH
CEMENT kept in my under-construction house and the tagline printed on them “Iss cement me jaan hai”. Then there was a phase when I never wanted to wear foreign brands and that’s when PEOPLE came to my rescue- trendy designs and comfortable fits. Alike these, there have been so many incidents when I have been directly or indirectly in contact with ABG, be it PANTALOONS or BIRLA SUN LIFE.
The one IDEA that I can related with the Aditya Birla Group the most is “An IDEA can change your life” because it’s been a journey from childhood to my early thirties now when I have been through many instances where ‘an Idea has changed my life’. For example, I wanted to study maths, but I was told that girls become doctors and not engineers. I can’t wear denims to college unlike my brother. That I cannot go to work after I get married, in other way round, I will have to seek my partner permission before I do anything, even breathe perhaps. But “An IDEA changed my LIFE”.
The Idea was “Everything cannot be taught. Life By Necessity is a DO-IT-Yourself Project. I then decided that I won’t live by the norms of the society. Though I little late, but I started to live my dreams and that’s what they say.. ‘Better be late than Sorry’. So, Here I am at SIBM doing my thing, An MBA in HR, post two years of marriage, a good marriage indeed. Before reinventing myself and figuring out from where I wanted to start my second innings, I did take a break, thought my dreams, resources, strength and weaknesses. Either I could have taken up the opportunities or would have simply slog and cursed my past mistakes and situations. Today I wear what I like, I am a vegetarian by choice and me and my partner exchange suggestions about the decisions we take and support each other throughout.
Life seems to beautiful from here, if not easy. And I am all geared up to take on life as it comes. Still a long way to go, so many dreams to be fulfilled and new ones to be dreamt off. Aditya Birla Group has given me so much through out –
ROTI (MORE), KAPDA (PEOPLE/PANTALOONS), MAKAAN (ULTRATECH CEMENT) & #FOOD4LIFE (IDEA).
..am thankful to ABG for being such a life support. I am still on a learning mode, I will fight my weaknesses and find solutions to threats. I will thrive on my skills, play on my strengths, and kill for new opportunities. I will go on with my life along with imbibing life skills from ABG, recommending it all.
