– Why Aditya Birla Group Is Big In Your Life?
Aditya Birla Group has a legacy of more than 150 years. In the time being this group has ventured in each aspect of our life. They have brands of international fame which produce quality products under their name. Today, it would be nearly impossible to find a person in his/her 20s who would not have used of one or more of the ABG products in his life yet.
Ever Since childhood, I have been buying clothing from one or the other brands of Aditya Birla Group such as ‘PANTALOONS’ or ‘PLANET FASHION’. The need of any household grocery could be easily accomplished simply by visiting a ‘MORE’ store where one can find most of the daily needs fulfilled. I used to visit ‘MORE’ store in the morning daily to buy milk and being offered discount of 5-10% on the same made me engage with the brand more strongly. As a teenager, I used to buy apparels from ‘FOREVER 21’ which used to be pretty cool and loud in sense. In this phase of adulthood we buy formal clothing as well as decent casual clothing from the most renowned brands by the Aditya Birla Group such as ‘LOUIS PHILIPPE’, ‘PETER ENGLAND’, ‘Allen Solly’ and ‘VAN HEUSEN’. These brands produce one of the finest clothing in the market for the formal adult part of the play of life. Since childhood when lunch was need to be packed for the tiffin whether for the school, college or job, it was always done using ‘FRESHWRAPP’ aluminium foils, which also turns out to be a product from the same group. In these times even, when the house was going under drastic renovation process this group was there as a part of that too with products like ‘ULTRATECH Cement’ and ‘Hindalco’.
Thus, the Aditya Birla Group has touched every aspect of human life in India. It is really true that one cannot go without using any one of the products from this group in his/ her life i.e. it has become such an integral part of our life.
– How Have You Made An Impact?
In my college I was part of ‘PRAYAS – The Neighbourhood Project’. This club worked for the uplift of the under-privileged children from the families of families of daily wage workers. The challenge was to get engaged with these families and convince them about the program of our and to make them connect with us. It was really a huge hurdle due to poor communication and difficulties we faced in making them understand the importance of education. For them being a part of the educated main stream is an activity i.e. waste of time. Instead it would be better to send off the kids to work and earn money.
Our team started with some events like providing these kids free breakfast to participate in our teaching event. Then slowly with passage of time the scheme of free breakfast was withdrawn, but it was a successful booster to get the children once to the classes and try to comprehend the program i.e. in their favour and is for their own betterment. The realisation of this fact was though slow but firm. The student’s number went on increasing with each passing day. The batch of PRAYAS which started with 4 teachers and mere 2 students boomed up to 80 students and 6 teachers/trainers. This was a huge achievement as project had seen too much socialization and favour as participation from the children. This made us work even harder and do better each day. We as a team now tried to make this learning program very interesting and easy for the students to understand and comprehend the education. We also helped these people develop certain level of basic spoken skills.
This project required ideas to engage these children reach their goal. The problem once solved provided us immense results. We helped them grow as individuals who are self-confident and have trust in themselves and their skills. These could now survive more decently in the society as compared to their last generation. This was really something amazing to achieve and I felt extremely pleased to achieve and solve my issue in order to make a change that had positive impact on the society.
