Why Aditya Birla Group is big in your life?
Aditya Birla Group has touched each of our lives in one way or another. From cement to textile; telecom to fashion, the group has created a mark in every realm. It has created ample job opportunities across the globe. Aditya Birla Group has always prioritized the country and its citizens before its profits.
Since its presence is into every sphere, it has been a part of my life at some point or the other. Be it my first cellphone with Idea’s cellular network or a shirt from Peter England which I bought for my dad from my first salary, ABG has been close to my heart. I remember the first time my mother took me to Pantaloons, I was mesmerized to see the world of fashion right in front of my eyes. It was one of the first stores in my city to offer such an extensive variety of clothes, accessories, footwear and everything a teenage girl could dream of! I bought my first pair of ‘branded’ jeans from there. ABG was a pioneer to bring infinite brands to cater to the contemporary needs of its consumer. And now, by venturing into brands like Forever 21 and Ted Baker it has rightly targeted the youth.
The group has evolved over the years and it will continue to grow and prosper with and for the country.
ABG has not only touched my life but the lives of millions!
How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far?
Life throws challenges at you at every stage of life. Irrespective of the nature of the challenge, it always ends up giving us a unique experience. Right from the first day at school to the first day at work, life had its own ways of teaching me that survival in the world is tough but when life turns rough, you have got to fight harder. I have been fortunate enough to have a loving family, good friends, and a wonderful environment while growing up. I have stayed outside the home for about 8 years now. I am a very free spirited person who loves to meet new people, spend time with them and build new relations. While I had a rather large circle of friends in school and college that changed when I started working. A change in my environment brought out a change in my personality that I was not familiar with. I realized I preferred sitting at home and reading a book than go out with my colleagues. Melancholy became my new best friend and going to work and interacting with people became a task that I did not look forward to. Certain dark phases in your life force you to change your outlook and I did face a lot of difficulties but thanks to my friends and family, I was ready to get out of that phase and start afresh. I was determined to give myself the best that life has to offer. I wanted it and I worked towards it.
Life will not always be rainbows and sunshine, it will have pits and falls. But what is most important is to remember that “tough times don’t last but tough people do”. These tough times give us the best lessons and make us a better version of ourselves. I always keep an “I will” attitude and make the most of every opportunity that comes my way. Life has its own ways of directing us to the things we actually deserve, doesn’t matter if that route is a little lengthy.
