From a road or tyre to clothes or railways, ABG presence is massive in our life. I have had multiple interactions with ABG products on various stage of my life. But two instances where I really connected with the company are:-
- During the placement season of my Graduation, I needed to buy a formal suit to appear in interview processes. We all now, how important first impression is during an interview and the outfit plays a key role in that, since, I was still a student, I wanted something affordable and decent enough to be presentable. So, after visiting many shops in Bhubaneswar. The shop that really provided me the satisfaction of giving multiple choices for a suit in my prize range was none other than the “Pantaloons”. This was the suit in which I landed my first job in which I move on to work for 3 years. So, this purchase is a very emotional experience for me.
- Later on, when I started working, I wanted to invest my saving with minimum risk. Being a novice in area of investing, I started with investment in Mutual Funds. After many research I invested in Aditya Birla Sun Life MF. The 18% gain that I received on this Mutual Fund in the short time, made me more confident and that day marked the beginning of my journey to equity and derivative market. If I wouldn’t have purchased that Mutual Fund earlier I wouldn’t have been this active investor in the equity market today
While working for some time in Pune, I and my friends planned an outing on a weekend to Imagica water-park. We booked the hotel for the same near Imagica. We arrived Saturday morning checked in the hotel, then we went to Imagica followed by dinner and we came back by 11:00 pm. After reaching the hotel we saw that our luggage was at the reception and the manager told us that you all have to check out immediately and they will refund the whole the amount, after a lot of questioning to find the reason, the manager told us that Our friend whose id proof we have submitted during check in was a Muslim and he had a long beard. And they were warned by the police to check us out from the hotel immediately.
For a moment, I and my friend were in shock and without making this situation awareness to our Muslim friend we checked out from hotel but before heading anywhere, I visited the police station to find the basis of such allegation on my friend. After some heated arguments and discussion, policeman realized his mistake and as a result of which we were back in the same hotel with the same respect. The biggest learning from the entire incident was that we should never foot down or accept the wrongdoings if you have not committed any mistake.
