The first thing I remember about Aditya Birla is Ultratech cement. I still remember those advertisements on television when I was a kid with civil employees telling that “L&T is now Ultratech cement, nothing has changed except the name” with a yellow color background. Maybe I remembered this commercial because of my uncle having a retail business in cement. Then came Idea Cellular network, I am basically from a rural village near Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh and we used to get signals from two service providers there, Idea and BSNL. So I started using Idea and continued it till my graduation which I pursued in Chennai but due to low network availability, I had to change my service provider.

It was the 3rd year of my graduation around 2015 when Aditya Birla group came up with its online fashion portal ABOF, which was my all-time favorite. I used to suggest it to my friends and my clothing used to be separate and special in college. The kind of variety and styles available in ABOF were fabulous, also at that time they had this launching discounts and as a student, I was more attracted to it. Whenever I feel I need a different kind of apparel I choose ABOF, especially SKULT. After graduation, I started working and there I needed to be professional in the office so I started using brands like Peter England, Allen Solly and VanHeusen. These brands gave me a good look along with better comfort, and somehow they also increased my confidence while giving presentations. Therefore, I continue to use these brands for my professional work, while ABOF for my parties and outings.

When it comes to business Aditya Birls group always tried to be different from others, which created interest and kept me connected with the brand.

The path towards my Goal

I belong to an agricultural family and I was very interested in agriculture, but the pressure from society and the economic status of the farmers at that time forced me to do engineering and go for a Job. I soon realized that it's not only me but there are many who love to do agriculture but are not able to do so. I started searching for answers, I observed farmers: they worked hard, they got high productivity, the demand was also good, but the pay was less. On the other hand, while doing my job, I used to buy the same goods in cities, but their cost was different; farmers were not even getting 50% of it.

Somewhere in the middle of the process, there was a problem, which was adding more cost to these products, and I want to identify it and cut it. To overcome this problem, the complete supply chain needs to be improved and we should remove unnecessary steps in between. Therefore, I decided to join the MBA and chose operations management as specialization to get more insights to improve supply chain and be able to build an efficient platform for Indian farmers. It used to be challenging to handle both job and MBA preparation at a time, but I overcame it with perfect time management and prioritization of work. I have achieved it through the halfway and the next half includes the implementation of my learning.
