a) Why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life.
We all have heard the name 'Aditya Birla Group' and seen its logo on a plethora of products since our childhood. But we seldom give much thought as to how it influences our daily lives and livelihoods.
The Birla Group has been proudly serving the Indian community and economy for the past 160 years. From helping us connect to loved ones across the globe to enabling us to achieve our goals and dreams, the Aditya Birla Group has played a pivotal role in making the life of every Indian one seamless experience.
The impact of Aditya Birla Group on my life is profound, to say the least. Throughout my life, I have been a loyal consumer of Peter England garments. b) How I overcame a challenge to attain my goal.
As a prerequisite for joining a company we were placed in after graduation, we were asked to build an android application that could monitor various services such as recharge history, bill due date, payment status etc. for multiple prepaid, postpaid and broadband accounts. Although the task seemed simple enough, none of us had any prior experience in the matter as our specialization was in electronics. Our group of three worked hard to build a rudimentary version of the application which worked as expected but stored all the details locally on the device. We were very proud of our accomplishment but our supervisor was not happy. He pointed out that the application potentially compromised user security and the details were not universally accessible. We accepted his critiques and set about developing the application with a renewed zeal. We analyzed the shortcomings of our existing product and made decisions on what needed to be done in order to make the app more efficient and user experience more pleasurable. In order to do this, we had to be our own worst critics. We started thinking not just as developers, but also as testers and clients. Over the next month, we worked meticulously, learning and implementing new things every day. At the end of the month, we had a fabulous android application that surpassed the expectations of our supervisors. The lesson I learnt from this experience is that, no task is too daunting if the efforts are sincere. I also realized the importance of time management, teamwork and the value of synergy. My passion for working on cutting edge technologies and my goal of working in a reputed organization motivated me to overcome difficult odds and deliver.
