Part A: Why Aditya Birla Group is big in your life

Before the smileys became trendy, I remember the school days when my mamma used to wrap the rotis with yellow smiley box of Freshwrapp foil. Not only it used to keep the rotis fresh and soft, the foil was later on crushed, rolled and made into a ball. Along with the Freshwrapp foil ball and a hardboard notebook, we used to play cricket in the class. As I grew older and was leaving to chase IIT and BITS in Kota, I remember my worried father suggesting me to buy an Idea sim as it had the best network coverage and reliability. On tight budgets during my Engineering years, I remember going to More stores in Bangalore and saving bucks. For my CAT exam interview, when I had to buy a new suit, Louis Phillipe was my undisputed choice. The construction of my home with Ultra Tech Cement, gifting Allen Solly Shirt with my first earning to my father, the list the way my life has been touched by one or the other product of Aditya Birla Group is endless. And so has been the lives of millions of Indians and billions around the world.

What makes Aditya Birla Group big? It is the trust and reliability the people have in the group, the value, variety and quality of its products and the ability to give customers more than their expectations. That is why, perhaps every industrialist or businessman wants to be like either a Birla, a Tata or an Ambani.

Part B:

How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far.

But the worst enemy you can meet will always be yourself.

-Friedrich Nietzsche

During my teenage, just after I completed my X standard, like many of the engineering enthusiasts, I moved to Kota to prepare for IIT-JEE and BITSAT exam. The new found freedom and exposure with no supervision proved was something new, I wasted a lot of my time falling prey to temptations and distractions.

You must be ready to burn yourself in your own flame: how could you become new, if you had not first become ashes.

-Friedrich Nietzsche

Eventually, there was self-realization and contemplation. I had to leave the habits I have formed and bring life on track. I had performed average and lacked understanding in few topics which I had to cover up with extra classes. Extra classes helped but left little time to revise and self-study, but I remained determined and worked hard. My late hard work didn't pay off, but got decent AIEEE and good COMEDK rank.

I learnt to value time and think long term instead of indulging in momentary pleasures. Work is said to be done “only” when force (hard work) applied produces displacement (success). Failure is temporary, regret lasts forever. This regret motivates me to work harder. Over the years this experience remains somewhere in back of my head and motivates me to do well and give my best. Continuing the spirit of the lessons learnt, I performed well in Engineering, qualified for various competitive exams including CAT and at present striving for better version of myself at IIM Kashipur.
