Aditya Birla Group, the great Indian conglomerate has made its name in the country by manufacturing almost each and every good in the market. It has left no stone unturned in the fields of finance, insurance, apparel and telecommunication etc. At times when India is facing a severe problem of unemployment ABG group has provided job opportunities to various people in the country.
As the company has marked into various sectors of the market it has to be a part of my life at some point or the other. The company has also targeted the young generation of the country by establishing fashion outlets like Peter England, Van Heusen and pantaloons.
I am very optimistic in my life and whatever happens to me at any point of time I try to draw the positives out of it. I am basically a team worker and believe in the ideology of “Together Everyone Achieves More” shortly known as TEAM. The first thing of ABG that makes impact in my life is the logo of ABG which is of a rising sun and which signifies optimism and serves as a unification symbol for the whole group.
The logo as per Mr Kumar Mangalam Birla
“The new corporate logo helped in bringing various companies of the group together. This helped the organisation to renergize and get started to the path of change” .
ABG group helped me a lot when my city was under a grave connectivity problem in the aftermath of the cyclone “Fani”. ABG helped me by coordinating with different telecom operators to provide hassle free communication service in the city till the situation was restored.
I have a family of 4 which is supported by my father who is chief manager at UCO BANK,Bengaluru. Many of us don’t know but UCO BANK was founded by Late Ghanshyam Das Birla who is the founding member of the Birla Family.
This is how big ABG in my life and billion others…
The biggest challenge of my life: Life at Vikas Vidyaniketan
I have been a good student all my life, after securing a good percentage in 2010 in my matriculation exam as per the culture in the country my parents started searching a science college for me along with the added burden of a IIT coaching. So after so much pondering and brainstorming they got to know that Andhra Pradesh is going to be a good place for IIT coaching, so they just dropped me there without my consent which started the most hellish two years of my life.
I had never stayed in hostel prior to 2010 and it was very difficult for me to adjust at a place to which I was not familiar with and moreover thinking of the fact that I had to spend 2 years at that place which was different from my state made it more difficult. I would like to brief up about some of the challenges which I faced there.
WHEN YOU GET SICK
There are few days in hostel life when you suffer from viral fever or any disease for a couple of days and no one look for yourself you got to take care of yourself. these days required a great amount of mental and physical strength.
WHEN YOU ARE ALONE
Hostel is a place where you don’t have people to share something ,during holidays most of the people from neighboring places go to home town and its difficult to spend those nights alone.
WHEN PEOPLE TALK BEHIND YOUR BACK
Its very painful when your classmates and roommates conspire against you for a mere small thing and you feel isolated in the campus, the feeling is very outrageous and pathetic.
HEALTHY AND HYGIENIC FOOD IS A MYTH
There is a saying which goes by the meaning that you understand the value of a thing when it goes away from you. Hostel food is the best example of this, you will understand the true value of homely food when you eat the pathetic hostel food
Due to the above points I feel going through the 2 years in Vikas was the most difficult phase of life for me
In spite of so many challenges there are so many pros of that place also. It is due to this place I am not an introvert any more and can express myself at any point of time.
