Why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life
Aditya Birla Group has touched many facets of my life throughout, sometimes more impactful than others. Not only me, it is a brand that every person in my family uses and is proud of using it.
Aditya Birla Group has always fascinated me since my childhood. I have always been inspired by the chairman, Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla and his vision to take the company forward and his work towards betterment of the society.
Later in my life, when I decide to pursue Engineering, I wanted to get into the prestigious Birla Institute of Technology, Pilani whose contribution to the country is immense. Its alumni have reached heights in different walks of corporate world.
But the part which currently impacts my life the most from Aditya Birla Group is its fashion retail arm Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. Pantaloons has always been the first preference for me and my family for our garment and apparel shopping. Because of its consolidation strategy, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. has brought world class brands under one roof which provides a wide range of clothing to select from for every person in our family which really eases our shopping experience. It has an option available for every age group. I have always purchased formal clothing from brands like Van Heusen, Louis Philippe, and Peter England which has proved pivotal at many life changing points in my life. The confidence that comes from wearing the clothes is always backed by the brand image that Aditya Birla Group has in people’s mind.
Finally, it is a conglomerate which focuses on balanced development with betterment of society at the center of everything that it does and hence is a brand that is adored by one and all.
How I overcame challenges to achieve my ambitions in life so far
Every challenge in life teaches you something. The way you face every challenge and face adverse situations, be it little or big, makes up your attitude and personality. Since a very young age, I had a never give up attitude and would love to put myself in difficult situation. I’d come victorious sometimes and sometimes not, the latter being more than the former one. But I never gave up.
One such incident I vividly remember is the time when I had to go to Kota for my IIT-JEE coaching after completing my secondary education. It was the first time I was stepping out of the comforts of my hometown and I was scared about entering a city with different culture, different people and not to mention the tremendous pressure the rigor of the study had.
When it was finally the day I had to go, I got to know that my parents could not go with me due to some family reasons and nobody could come due to such short notice. I had an option to not go that day and then join in some other batch which would start later. It would have affected my studies a lot. I decided that I will go alone, and I did. I got myself registered in the institute, got accommodation on myself and settled in. It was all overwhelming at that time for a small kid, but it has made me so strong that till this day, I am not afraid to go anywhere alone, or I am not bothered if nobody is there to help me.
I’d like to thank my parents for believing in that small kid. That moment has changed my life greatly.
