PART A :

First Job, first salary! The thought itself is so thrilling. I was fortunate enough to graduate with my dream job in hand and I couldn’t have been more ecstatic. After years of hard work that feeling of finally achieving what you always dreamt, of cannot be put down in words. “RS *** credited to a/c ***** on 31-05-16” that’s when I decided I have to do something special for my family, after on they were with me through my thick and thin. We would do most of our shopping from Pantaloons and that’s when the thought of getting gifts from Pantaloons crossed my mind. I rushed to the nearest Pantaloons store and my cart was full of stuff. From shoes o clothes to bags I had got it all. Luckily there were exciting offers that the store had, and I managed to get most of the items at a reasonable price. Content, I headed back home with my hands full of shopping bags. I hadn’t seen my parents so happy in a long time. They loved the gifts I bought for them and the fact that it was all bought by me made them feel so proud.  That day has been the best day of my life and till date when I enter pantaloons with my parents, they recall that day and I see their faces light up. It’s like I have an emotional connect with Pantaloons as I relate it to a very special event in my life. We as a family not only love the place because of the products that they sell but also because we have memories with the brand that will stay with us forever.

PART B:

Handling your emotions is a skill which not everyone can master in. I consider myself as a very emotional person who get’s attached to people very easily and even the thought of a broken relationship would leave me jittery. Today when I look back, I feel so proud about how I have evolved as an individual. I fell for a person who was not into me as much as I was into him. I did not have the heart to accept it and walk off. I always tried to make things work and always made that extra effort and that’s exactly what costed me my peace of mind. I was in denial, not willing to accept the truth and I learnt it the hard way. Being cheated is the worst feeling. It not only makes it difficult for you to believe in someone but also kills your self-confidence. I used to think there is something wrong with me, I started doubting my worth and I used to feel embarrassed about what had happened with me. My grades went down, I couldn’t focus on anything, cut myself off. It took me a while to realise what I was missing in life. My friends were my support system. It might sound cliché but one thing I realised that it’s fine to have a broken relationship, but it’s not okay to make yourself go through it just because you don’t have the heart to see the truth. Nothing in the world is worth your mental peace. It’s difficult to walk away, but once you do, you feel so much lighter. I realised it’s all in the head.  I spent time doing things that made me happy. I balanced my work and my hobbies, tried to learn new things (eg. Calligraphy), worked out religiously, basically did everything to keep my mind off the negative thoughts. It wasn’t easy and it was a long process but staying between loved once really helped. I focused on the things that were important. I diverted all my attention to my work, my career and I worked hard towards it. At the end of college, not only had my grades improved but also, I landed my dream job. Today I am much comfortable handling my emotions and I feel I can handle them to a great extent. I have learnt to value myself even more and I feel that has really changed my life.
