Why Aditya Birla Group is big in your life?
Aditya Birla Group has always been a large part of all Indian’s lives. The Group has played an instrumental role in fulfilling the basic necessities of life like clothing, food and housing.
As a child I have grown up wearing clothes of Pantaloons. It provides products across various categories of casual wear, ethnic wear, kids wear, party wear, and sportswear. It also offers products like footwear, perfumes and watches. Now going through the MBA life at Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, formal clothes of brands like Peter England, Allen Solly, Louis Philippe, Van Heusen have become essentials in my wardrobe.
Freshwrapp of Aditya Birla Group has always been the most trusted brand in the aluminum foil category. As a child and even now I have always got my lunch packed in Freshwrapp which preserves warmth and moistness, keeping the food fresh and aromatic even after long hours of packing. Freshwrapp has always been used in my home for baking biscuits, cakes and muffins in oven.
My family has recently constructed a house in which we have only used UltraTech Cement. Its iconic white cement sells under the name Birla White and another widely used product in construction is Birla White Wall Care Putty. UltraTech Cement is actually the number one cement of the country just as the campaign says, “Desh ka no. 1 cement kyuki mere har kaam se juda hai mera naam.”
Supporting India in moving towards digitalization and progressing on the path of becoming a cashless economy, Aditya Birla Group has launched a full service digital bank offering services like BHIM UPI, savings account, wallet, loans and insurance.
How have you made an impact?
I have always strived to be the best at what I do. I have been a meritorious student throughout my school life. I have won various medals and certificates in the academic field. I had scored good marks in X standard qualifying me to opt for science stream but I chose commerce. I was the only student in my class who opted the commerce stream having a choice to join science as well. I decided choose stream according to my interests and strengths. During my secondary education I developed a keen interest in the area of accounting and hence decided to pursue the chartered accountancy course directly after passing XII examinations. This decision felt irrational to some but I followed my gut and enrolled for chartered accountancy directly after XII skipping the regular graduation program. I was one of the sixteen people selected by PwC out of a total eight hundred applicant for CA articleship. I completed the chartered accountancy course in first attempt at the age of just 22 years. Having developed an inclination towards business valuations and finance during the chartered accountancy course I enrolled for CFA to explore my interests further. I cleared two levels of CFA which further strengthened my belief that I am meant for finance. Contrary to people’s opinion I sat for the CAT exam and joined Management Development Institute, Gurgaon for pursuing Masters in Business Administration specializing in the field of finance. The thing that makes me special is that I listen to people but I follow my instinct irrespective of what people think about me.
